I was disappointed when UD said how he didn't have to score and that he just had to bring the energy and rebounding (which he didn't anyway).

A lot of us were like, SERIOUSLY? the UD we do know would step up in this type of situation.

It took 4 games and more trust from Spo to put him in, but he finally scores and look what happens. I hope it shows up hey, we do need you, and your scoring too.

He made the difference in the 4th when Wade/LBJ were doubled. The bigs for the Pacers wouldn't go out to UD because they were in shock lol. Very happy to see UD make wide open shots, including one that was really contested too.

GOOD JOB UD!!!

if UD keeps showing up, we win in 6 games.

Out of anything that happened today, this made me the happiest. I don't think people realize how much we've missed that Haslem jump shot. He's closed out countless games for us throughout his career with that very shot. It's a highly important pressure release valve for LeBron/Wade.

Here's to hoping he can keep hitting it, because we damn well need it.

This. Reminded me of game 2 in chicago. If he can start hitting that consistently we can ease the pain of missing Bosh.

Lose faith in UD, you might as well just pack up your **** and move out of Miami (I'm talking to you, Spo). Hate the way he's been utilized. He still doesn't seem completely comfortable finding his shooting spot on the floor, but damn it was great to have him back. For some reason we were acting like he doesn't have value to the team. I'm glad his play slapped some sense into our HC who was playing Battier at the 4 and exhausting Lebron instead of using the man who was starting PF on a championship team.

Stop blaming Spo. UD was HORRIBLE for a good number of games this season. It's not like if he was playing anything near his average production.

We're playing an incredibly physical Ind frontcourt without Bosh. Haslem gets 12 and 7 mins in our last two losses. I'm placing blame where it's deserved.

Funny how LeBron was heavily criticized for giving the ball to Haslem during that Utah Jazz game this year where LeBron was having a great game.

This is what happens when you trust your teammates!!
They just have to be capable.

26 times Lebron has trusted Haslem to take the game winning shot and missed. Haslem has failed over and over, and over again, and that is why he succeeds.

Spoelstra admitted in the postgame presser that he was kinda mad at himself for not playing UD more in the last 2 games. I think the thought behind it is if we are going down, lets go down with the guys we trust.

Micky Arison said this might be the fan giveaway for Game 5. pretty cool if they did it.

Hope this kicks off UD's season and his jumper returns. If UD's jumper comes back, then we've got our Bosh replacement for the last three games. If just one of our bigs can punish Hibbert for camping in the lane, it will be huge.

Should the Pacers hit him on the face every game from now on?
That woke him up! Holy crap!

Although it was just one quarter out of the entire playoffs that UD has shown up we have no choice but to hope he breaks out of his year long funk. If he can were in good shape.

Bulls fan here:

I am really happy for UD. He is the kind of player that you would love to have on your team but would hate if he was on any other team.

Bulls and UD have history. But that doesnt keep me from enjoying the warrior and his game.

Kudos, UD!

Next up: James Jones and Mike Miller. If these 2 show up, the East is over.
For love, not money.

JJ already did...in a big way.

I always laugh every time Miller or Battier misses a 3 and there are call for Jones to play more.

Highly unlikely JJ or Miller really step it up. JJ seems to have completely lost his shot(and his mind), and Miller is just a trainwreck of injuries right now. I do hope atleast Miller/Battier can hit the open shots that Wade/LeBron are getting them. If that happens, and Chalmers keeps his game up, Miami is going to look real pretty going into the next round if that happens.

As elated as I was to see UD hit those shots, I'm not going to get my hopes up too high and declare him "back" as he's had big games this season when it felt like he was back which amounted to nothing in the following games.

So I'm praying this is a turning point for him but not getting my hopes up.

Return to Miami Heat
