Coaching adjustments were very good after terrible Game 3.

Anyone else smell Riley's hands all over this?

After game 3, when we looked done, everyone said Riley needed to step in. Suddenly, Game 4 was a complete turnaround, and we win 3 straight in dominating fashion. 3 games in a row where the offense for LBJ and Wade looked GOOD, REALLY GOOD!

LBJ and Wade are both on record tonight saying that the adjustments made by the coaching staff was amazing and it's what allowed them to do this.

I have a feeling we have to thank Pat Riley. Behind the scenes, after game 3, he became hands on, I suspect, and saved Spo.

Agree or disagree?

LeBron said how it was Spo who made adjustments. But seeing Riley and Zo standing while watching the game when it was like the 1st quarter, they are very much into it more so than last year.

But glad Spo did SOMETHING. But the ECF against Boston and the fact that he could go up against Popovich, is going to be more telling.

I saw the adjustments in Game 4, the spacing was good and the screens were good. I give him credit for basically telling the role players, MAKE SCREENS AND GTFO!!! But yeah GJ Spo.

But my opinion doesn't change about him.

Considering that Riley and Spo talk every day, shouldn't you blame Pat for games 2 and 3?

From what I've read, Pat is a bit hands off and just throws suggestions. It feels like, after Game 3, that changed and Pat stepped in hands on to help Spo.

Come on, man. Ray Charles can see what happened. Pat stepped in but wants Spo to get 100% of the credit.

Since when has Spo EVER been good at adjustments? EVER?

Somehow, magically, when the Heat are unraveling, and everyone is begging for Riley to do something...... magically, Game 4, 5, and 6 show a different Heat team with never before seen adjustments as Wade and LBJ are given what they need to dominate?

It's truly amazing how ridiculous this fanbase is

lol man y'all are too much, when **** goes south it's all Spo, when it's good it's Riley

And some of you really think an established coach is going to come into THIS?

So Riley stepped into a 2nd round series but didn't step into the NBA Finals last year

Riley, McAdoo, Fizdale, Rothstein, Askins, am I missing someone...all deserve praise for the work they put in against the Pacers. Thanks y'all.

So what exactly are you saying Riley did?

HE taught HAslem, Mike MIller and Battier to shoot in 48 hrs?

Maybe Spo is just a better coach then you give him credit for. To me the more important change that took place was a mentality change in the players.

Stop bitching. All credits for ajustements go to Spo and the staff.

Like I said before, Spo is a very good coach for his age and considering his coaching experience. I

criticize him when he doesn't make adjustments or make stupid mistakes. BUT.

He is learning and improving FAST.

The Finals against Coach Pop will be a big test for Spo... We'll see from there.

Spo made some nice adjustments but his far from the answer. Let me see him do it versus Boston or OKC/Spurs and I'll start to believe. I know he did some nice things after game 3 but why did it take him 3 games to adjust? Just saying.

Don't expect him to outcoach 16 season veteran, 4 times NBA champ Pop. If he's able to lose less than 2 games because of coaching we can be happy.

This is all Spo. If you want to blame him for the losses, you gotta blame him for the wins.

Great adjustments to losing some critical members. We had no frontcourt, guys. None. We won with out SF playing PF. We won with our SG playing heavy minutes at SF. We won...period.

Great job by Spo and the staff. Really, it was down to the bench contributing critical points. In Game3, his gameplan was terrible. No excuses there. However in Game4, he dug into the bench and tried to mix things up. No response. In Game5 and 6, he's held the course, and we had some nice contributions from the supporting cast.

There's nothing wrong with the offense or defense. We just need a reliable bench. If our bench was reliable, there'd be no room to hate on Spo. He's our coach. If Riley didn't have faith, he would have ousted him after last season. We need to keep that same faith, because for every bad game, he's coached us to 3 or 4 good ones. He's our coach. Let's appreciate what we got. PEACE.
