Outside his locker late Monday, someone asked Garnett: Had the Heat been "showboating" at the end of Game 1?
"A little bit, a little bit," Garnett grumbled. "They're comfortable, and when you're comfortable, you do things like that."
Rajon Rondo seethed, and said simply: "Nothing dirty, but they have to hit the deck too."
http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nba--lebro ... GfqQC8vLYFThe Celtics might resort to thuggery in Game 2. I'm not sure who their enforcer is, but I'm sure it won't be any of the important guys. If I had to put money on it, I'm going with Ryan Hollins.
Pittman can return for Game 3. We should remind Boston of that.

WIN THIS GAME and hopefully Chris Bosh can come back soon I really hope no one tries to injury D.Wade or LeBron when they drive to the basket. Hoping for good bench production and a solid team effort.

KG's one to talk. The dude just talks **** all game long.
Battier needs to find his stroke again. If he can hit those wide-open looks, we're gonna blow this out early. He also made some nice cuts to the rim. Bass really doesn't know what to do with him.
I hope Miller continues his hot hand and that Rio can heat up himself. If we can get our 3 shooters rolling the rest of the playoffs, we're good.
I'd like to see us force more turnovers and maintain the defensive intensity we showed in the second half. We ready! Let's go HEAT! PEACE.

I expect a better game from us in this one. I don't know what everybody was so pleased with in game 1, but I thought the Celtics just missed a lot of good looks for the most part, particulary in that 1st quarter. We had some good stretches, but weren't as consistent with our effort and execution the way we were against Indiana. Wade in particular took too much time to wake up, something I don't expect to happen again.
With this being an important game, you better believe Boston will come out that much stronger. They may be old, but they're also a savvy and experienced team that's well-coached. With the Pacers, you sort of knew what to expect. With this Celtics team, on the other hand, you don't, which is why it's that much more important to play strong from the first second on.

Who on that team is going to take LeBron down? LeBron knows when the hits are coming and basically truck sticks people in mid air and knocks them on their ass. Pretty sure LeBron is going to win a collision vs. anyone on the Celtics that he sees coming.

I couldn't care less about Boston's bitching. If they were truly amped to up the physicality, they wouldn't be mouthing off and calling attention to it, putting themselves in line for added attention from the refs. Bull**** gamesmanship. It's good to see our guys recognize it as such.
We need to continue to control the boards and attack the basket. Maybe figuring out another strategy to fronting KG, because Rondo was making those passes all too easy. Tighten up on those open looks they (thankfully) missed on. Any opportunities to run are golden and doing better than missing 20 3s wouldn't hurt a bit.
More play like quarters 1, 3 and 4. None of that 2nd quarter nonsense.

can anyone tell me what this "showboating" that the media and Celtics are talking about atm ??
I don't see it other than Bron's "yeahhhh, yeahhhh" comment.
Skip Idiot Bayless said it's the "between leg crossover, behind back pass"....hows that showboating, thats part of the game.
anyone ?

NYK Mentality wrote:Miami has no chance what so ever tonight. I Boston steals an away game here in Miami tonight? The Heat will have no chance to win this series. I've been a pure die hard fan of the game for over 20 years now, I've seen a lot of great teams, and I know enough to know that Miami has no chance against this Boston Celtics team; at least without Chris Bosh they don't. Miami was built and put together around Wade, James and Bosh. Now that Bosh is out? They're down to only two X-Factors in Wade and LeBron. That won't be enough to match Boston's big 3 in Allen, Pierce and Garnett down low. Then you factor in Rondo? An elite talent in which Miami will have no answer for? It's a wrap.
Boston is too deep. They have too much playoff and championship experience. They know how to close out games during the 4th quarter. You can quoter me on this, but A.) Boston by 12+ tonight and B.) Boston sweeps or takes it in 5 at the most.
Hahaha oh man. I love knicks fans.

If Shane struggles a bit, I can Chalmers stretching it from the 3pt arc.

I love our attitude so far this year. It seems like after every game this playoffs, someone on the other team has something slick to say, and we've done all of our talking on the court. We've played like winners and are making everyone look like whiny b*tches, and it's fun to watch. Let's keep it going.
