If we don't win this series...

Post#1 » by TRG » Wed Jun 6, 2012 4:04 am

Will you guys watch the Finals?

As much as I love the NBA, I just don't think I could. I've wanted to see this team succeed and prove the doubters wrong for so long and so much now that watching the Finals without them in it would just hurt too much, regardless of who won.

What about you guys?

I don't know, I think I will, I still believe we can win in the next years so yea, I would be disappointed but I''ll still watch the finals to see the Celtics lose.

Hell no, I'll be too bitter.

I didn't watch the '05 Finals after Detroit beat us. To this day I still think we could've won the series if Wade had not gotten injured in game 5.

no, i'm not watching the finals.

the NBA is fixed anyway. officials influence the game too much. it's all bullcrap anyway. you would think a bunch of adults would be able to behave better, but all i see is the worst of humanity.

grown adult men crying about :

"i wouldnt have teamed up with my friends"
hating lebron because of a tv special about his decision that raised money for charity

it's all too much. at this point in my life, i'm just a heat fan because i have been one since i was 12 years old, back when jordan was dominating the nba and i knew my mourning-hardaway heat wouldn't be able to get past the bulls but it didn't matter because those teams were FUN to watch and root for.

this is not fun. 6 min stretches where the team can't score 1 point? even our SCRUB Heat teams of the past weren't that bad and could muster a damn bucket. yet this team with wade/lbj/bosh go on scoring droughts ROUTINELY.

Same here man. Losses like these make you wonder if being a hardcore fan of a sports team with huge expectations like this is even worth it.

I mean it is just basketball right? It's supposed to be entertainment. It's not supposed to make you feel like **** for days on end.

I think I'm gonna stay away from NBA for a little while if we lose this series.

Deactiviate my twitter account, don't watch ESPN, NBA TV anything that has to do with Basketball.

I'll be going to college this september for Art. So I guess I'll just practice drawing and play PS3.

Yeah, but I couldn't root for anyone between the Celtics and Thunder. I would root for the Spurs though.

Why bother? The whole finals will probably be about the Heat's failures anyways. The TV people pretty much only talk about the Heat even when it's two completely different teams playing. We'll get to hear how Kevin Durant is so much more humble than Lebron James. How clutch Westbrook is. How much more balanced their rookie contract laden team is.

Basketball isn't even fun anymore. This team has basically ruined my ability to enjoy the NBA, because the media is so fixated on seeing us into failure. And the team never strikes back at it's critics. They always just take it, and then validate it.

I think Pat should trade Lebron both for the sake of our team(gets the pressure off us) and for Lebron's career. The pressure is ruining his game. Send him to Orlando for Dwight and move on.

no I won't watch...

if anything I'd stay away from basketball until the next season

but honestly this stuff is an emotional roller coaster ride

I wish we'd be the under dog somehow like in 2006. But it's just so much. It won't seem like a lot if I don't hang around the boards, go on espn.com, etc etc.

yeah it's true this was once a 15 win season, Wade wasted a lot of years here honestly and I'm grateful he stayed. Now we have the best player in the NBA on this team. Looked like a chance for multiple titles....

I'd love for this team to win another title but damn this sucks.

just so use to my Marlins and Heat being under the radar. For those living in Florida/Miami and are Marlins fans too, atleast the media isn't so hard on us lol. Only huge name to sign was Reyes but that's another story.

so true... they talk about the Heat so much. It turns me off to even hear anything basketball related. But people love to hear the Heat fail, so they will keep repeating themselves. It's like sex to some of these peoples hears.
