Who do you think the Top 10 free-agent targets are for Miami with their mini-mid level exception ($3M) ?

1) Kevin Garnett
2) Steve Nash
2) Marcus Camby
3) Ray Allen
4) Jason Terry
5) Jason Kidd
6) Jamal Crawford
7) Kwame Brown
8) Raymond Felton
9) Leandro Barbosa
10) Shannon Brown

Guys like Kaman, or guys that I know won't be interested like Duncan I've excluded because there's no way they will settle for $3M or less. Is there anyone I've missed?

We should have a shot at Nash, Allen and maybe Terry. The rest are either to $$, not Miami-compatible or not good enough. With Chalmers-Cole we don't need another PG named other than Nash.

Garnett to me is the most obvious target. The only problem is I think he really hates our team.

Cambyses would fit in perfectly. A Joel that can score!

Yeah KG is easily the best fit with this team. Him and Bosh would fit together perfectly, and would add a ton of versatility. Defensively the guy is still a beast, and he's money from the mid-range. I would love to have him on Miami, but as Moggs said... the dude probably hates Miami with a passion.

KG/Anthony/Pittman
Bosh/Haslem
LBJ/Battier/Miller
Wade/Allen
Nash/Chalmers/Cole

Yep, that's it!

it may sound funny, but last year this team actually considered it. Brown wanted way too much money though.

I think the best FA for us are KG, Ray Allen, Nash.

I wouldn't mind Shannon Brown on this team. Another athletic player, does contribute.

We have to get rid of Miller first though I believe to free up some space.

KG? Really? Are you people on bathsalts? He don't like us and we have no money to offer him, this won't happen.

That just wouldn't even be fair for the rest of the league...

I totally disagree.

Billups would be perfect as a starter, with Chalmers off the bench, with Cole as 3rd string in case of injury/foul trouble, or an infusion of energy & defense on quicker points.

JO just did the Kobe treatment in Germany. So who knows, maybe he will accept the minimum. JO brings toughness and veternship, which doesn't hurt at all.

Sign Ray Allen and you're set.

I really don't know how steve nash would fit with this team. On D he would be a liability and that really is our greatest strength. The thing is nash works best with shooters if Bron and Wade are on the floor what kind of sets are we going to run? I think he would certainly be a great addition to our franchise but I don't see it happening.

From my perspective I would consider having a guy like Nash play a lot of minutes where either Lebron or Wade were getting rest, but I just think he isn't as good a fit as a lot of the other guys on this list. For example I would prefer a guy like billups or andre miller mainly b/c I think they are more likely and would bring far less headaches.

Steve is likely to end up in Chicago anyways. The Bulls want a guy to keep them competitive while Rose is out. Steve will do that for them.

You guys heavily underestimate one of the best and easiest to deal with PG in the league.

Billups still lacks of an ACL.

We lack offense every now and again, bringing in one of the best PG's in the league at his age, a vet and easy going guy, would do that for us.

His defense is bad but so what? Mike Miller stinks on defense, he's just scrappy. Steve Nash plays hard too.

We would never have stupid offensive droughts (it's already blows my mind we can have offensive droughts with 3 excellent players, 2 the best in the world when healthy) ever again.

Billups and his recent injuries are not a good sign at all. Last 2 seasons including this season he has had issues, at his age, they aren't going away either. I wouldn't risk it. He is more of a scorer anyway, which is not what we are looking for.

Also, on this team they have to have the ability to be a spot up shooter, mostly a 3 point ball person. That takes out Andre Miller... but he is good still at his age. Though doesn't he want to stay with the Nuggets?

I really don't understand how Nash would fit on this team. He has no one to pass too! Is he going to be dumping Lebron spot up jumpers? Wade? Joel Anthony? Haslem with his broken jumper? Nash is so effective because after he sets his teammates up with sweet shots, they make them. But our two best players already suck (and resist) being spot up shooters, and certainly wouldn't justify us signing a guy whose best skill is doing just that. Chalmers can shoot the 3-ball for us, and hopefully he'll get even better next year. I just don't think Miami, as built, can take advantage of Steve.

A center is a bigger priority for us. KG ain't coming to this place...that's like people suggesting Phil Jackson is going to come to this place.
