2-3-2 OR 2-2-1-1-1 ?

With the current 3-1 lead by the Heat would you prefer

A: The current 2-3-2 system where they have a chance to end it at home but also have a chance of losing that game and the momentum and having to go back to OKC for 2 games

B: Would you prefer a 2-2-1-1-1 system where if they come out flat or falter in game 5 they would still have a chance to win at home in game 6 and keep some of their momentum?

I like the chance to end it right away at home but I think I would prefer it to be the B option because it gives a little more room for error IMO

Thoughts?

How is that a bad question? You arent nervous that if they lose game 5 they are going back to OKC for the last 2? Wouldnt you prefer tomorrow nights game to be in OKC so even if they lose they are coming back home to finish it?

The most fair setup is 2-2-1-1-1. Ridiculous that they go 2-3-2.

I like the 2-2-1-1-1 because it's more fair.

Like if you lose on the road, you can atleast go back home for 1 more.

the 2-3-2, after game 5 you no longer go home. Puts more pressure on them.

For us right now that's a good thing lol.

After being down 3-2 against Boston on the road...and coming back from it, I knew this was the year. My faith is much stronger than any doubt at this point. I'm not nervous at all, we've seen just about every "scare" we could this post season and have fought through it every single time. Why would Thursday be any different? 8-)

what about instead of best of 7, do a best of THREE? like in the wnba.

2-1 format . or however wnba does it.

why do they only play a 3 game series? that is weird.

looking up wiki, they even had a 1-game series the first two years of the wnba league. now wtf?

2-3-2 is based purely off travel considerations...Look at Boston/LA a few years ago, you don't want a 3-hour time difference and 5-hour flight for the teams and media for for Game 5, 6 & 7...In the Stanley Cup when the Devils won Game 4 to make it 3-1 Kings in LA, there was an audible groan in the media room (according to Twitter) that they'd have to fly to NJ for Game 5 (and back to LA for Game 6)..

IMO there are only two ''really'' fair formats:

1) 1-1-1-1-1-1-1

2) 2-2-1-1-1

The first one means too much travel if you don't give them 3 days rest between the games, but the second seems fair with: game - rest - game - rest - rest - game - rest - game - rest - rest - game - rest - rest - game - rest - rest - game. 7 games in 17 days, seems ok to me.
