Mines is kinda funny!

This was around 91-92.I wasn't really a big sports fan at the time. the first team I starting watching were the Bulls because they were on national television all the time. I really didn't follow the NBA so I didn't know any of the other teams except the Bulls. mind you I was only 8 or 9 years old at the time.

I remember flipping channels and I stumbled upon channel 33(local channel down here in Miami). it was the Bulls playing the Heat. Chicago was totally beating the living hell out of us. I remember thinking to myself about the Heat: "Man this teams sucks!". lol

It's kinda crazy but I was a Heat fan for a few years before I even watched a game.
My uncle moved from Brazil to Miami and he gave me a Heat cap when I visited Miami for the first time in 94.
I loved the hat and loved Miami so I started pulling for the Heat but because the Heat sucked back then, ESPN back in Brazil or TNT would not show any Heat games so I was literally pulling for the Heat based on NBA's play by play (or something like that if it was not available back then)...
Then, a friend of mine gave me a copy of NBA Live '94 and which team I chose? The Heat.
Then in 95 I went back to Miami to see my uncle get his MBA from FIU at the old Miami Arena and got to watch some games on local TV while I was there and I was hooked...
I honestly think the first game I saw was Heat vs Orlando before Christmas or something like that at my uncle's condo.
From then on out, the Heat got better, started getting some games and I suffered alone through the Knicks rivalry games and Allan Houston killing us...then I found an old forum from where a lot of the older posters here came from...forgot the website, but there was a jerk Knicks fan called Ron Mourning that was the most annoying SOB ever and he would troll the crap out of Heat fans...poor guy, is probably depressed now that the Heat have just as many championships as the Knicks...

First game I went to was around 1996-1997 against the Vancouver Grizzlies, my aunt took me to see my first Basketball game and I loved the team right off the bat. First Heat game I watched, and I was lucky enough to see it live. Been to over 200 games since.

No clue, but I clearly remember thinking how ugly that Anthony Mason dude looked. I think that was the early 2000's.

Rafer Alston was on the team. Wade had just come into the league. Odom and Caron were the go to guys.

First game ever, Skip to my Lou hit a game winner vs the Mavericks.

I had certainly watched tons of Heat games before this, but this is the one that I distinctly remember most. Probably because it had a huge impact on me, even going so far as to cause me to cry afterwards. I will NEVER forgive Clarence Weatherspoon:

wow, forgot about that game. I think we came back down 10 in final 4 mins? I remember it being a friday night. What a fun season.

My first game I really got into the Heat was Steve Smith's rookie season in 91. I was a fan when the Heat started, but really wasnt die hard until 91, when I was 12.

To this day, I cannot remember exactly but I know it was in the mid-late 90s with Zo/Timmy/PJ/Mashburn/Thunder Dan, and we was playing the Bulls.

Well according to most non-Heat fans on RealGM, due to my join date, I guess it would be the first game of the Big 3

Seriously though, when I was a little tyke, my uncles took me to the Miami Arena to see a Heat game. I didn't know what was going on, I just cheered whenever the guys wearing the white jerseys had the ball .

I REALLY got into the heat during their first playoff run against the Bulls back in 91. I loved (and still do) Steve Smith and Glen Rice. I was devastated when we traded Smith to the Hawks.

LOL... the good old days. Harold Miner was suppossed to be everything Wade became. Remember when Willie B dropped 50 plus on our a$$ when he played for Philly?

Awfull just awful. The worst trade for me in Heat history. My two favorite players for an over the hill Kevin F'n Willis! I'll never forget reading, after Siekly was traded, how Grant was so thankful to be the last player on the team from 88 expansion team. I think 2-3 days later he was gone.

I always wonder if Riley had this team one season early how different it would have been. He pry could have traded Siekly, picks etc for Zo, or of that wasnt enough, still do Steve Smith or Rice for Zo, then trade Siekly for Timmy at the deadline

Imagine Zo, Timmy, and Steve Smith

I started watching the Lakers in the Bahamas back in '84, so I was already a bit of a basketball fan. As a result, I watched the inaugural Heat game. I believe it was broadcast locally. I don't remember that well though.

The earliest game I can remember was some game back in the first two seasons where Siekaly ended up dribbling the ball off his foot in a late-game scenario, costing us a win. That's the best I can remember. PEACE.

Willie Burton had the potential to be a HUGE scorer. just unstoppable when he got his shot going. but a mental case nonetheless. what a waste of talent he and Baby Jordan were, shows how big the mental part of the game has a hand in who discovers "IT" and who doesnt.

I have been going to games since their inaugural year. I went to around 15 games every year since 88. I remember players like Rory Sparrow, Grant Long, Pat Cummings and Rony Seikaly. My favorite old school Heaters are G Money, Keith Askins, Grant Long and Zo because they embody what the franchise represents... hard work, toughness and hustle.

One of the most memorable games was when Rex Chapman went nuts from the 3 point line against the soon to be 72-10 Bulls in 1995. Reily had just pulled off the trade for Zo and our roster was depilated. I think we only had like 8 or 9 players at our disposal and we took down the big bad Bulls.
