I know I hope so.

Considering we've only won when we haven't had HCA, kind of

But 2011 was more so this team was immature, cocky, and really didn't know what to do when hell rose.

I like having 3 straight.
I KNEW this team would steal 1 then if we come back and play our game, we ain't going back on the road.
But I think it really determines who the opponent is. Like I wouldn't want 3 straight in OKC or something.
Considering the fact we've won 3 times in a row the last 2 stints of our championships... I mean how can you not say no! lol.
But if we go through a game 7 one day, I would rather have it in our house.

The Heat swept the 3 middle games twice... thats pretty crazy if you think about it...
7-2 all time at home in the finals, if my math is correct...
3-0 in 2006, 1-2 in 2011, 3-0 in 2012

I really don't care...
If LeBron plays like he did this year we will almost never lose a 7 game series. Considering Wade and Bosh were both probably 70% or maybe 80% at best... if we ever had all three at better than 90% we would simply dominate.

As long as you get the first two at home it isn't as big of an issue.

You only have to look at the % of teams who do win with HCA.
the best team wins homecourt or not.

I'm being superstitious to an extent, but i'd still rather not have it

Winning all 3 middle games is damn hard...only 3 teams have done it and luckily we have done it twice.

Of course I would rather have homecourt.
You're looking at a sample size of 3 and making a causal relationship with very little evidence. If our and our opponents long distance shooting flip flop we could have won last year and lost this year. That had nothing to do with not having homecourt.
This would be like it not raining for two days but then you wear a red shirt and it rains on the third day and then thinking it rained because you were wearing the red shirt.

I'd rather have HCA. Not always guaranteed we'll split the first two and then win 3 straight. That's actually kind of crazy. I'd rather a team have to come to Miami and close us out than us go to their place and close them out as I suspect most of our finals appearances, if we have more, will not have us sweeping our home games.

I would much rather be the team with 3 straight home games.
All you have to do is steal ONE game in the first two. Those two games, people are feeling each other out and seeing how the series is going to be played out....... it's the best situation to be in. No pressure, just steal 1 of the 2 games. Then get 3 straight at home as you sleep in your own house.
Too much pressure on the team with HCA. 2-3-2 format gives the advantage to the wrong team.

I have mixed feelings though about not having HCA. Split the first two and go home for three straight. But you could also go down 0-2 and then the pressure to win all three home games is there. Just so happens we've been able to win three straight at home in both championship runs.

I'd always want HCA mainly for a game 7... To me, I just don't see a home team losing in the Finals inna game 7. Granted.. I've thought about this as I'm sure all Heat fans have. It is really insane to think how rare winning the middle 3 games is, and to know we did it twice is just ridiculous. Even with two completely different teams.. The odds are crazy.
That being said, also think we are mature enough now, if we win game 1 of the Finals.. To make sure to get game 2. We also can easly win back a game on the road like we did last Finals.

We won't get the best record in the league being an ISO team in the regular season. I forgot what seed Dallas was but we sure "lucked" out on getting HCA for that Finals.

I don't give too much weight to HCA in the Finals. I really don't think it matters much except for a few teams(OKC being one of them), I think the better team will usually win regardless of who is home or away.
