Why do people in the US love Oprah so much, I don't get it.

She's the top tier in shows of her department. She has helped a lot of people and heck she even gives huge presents for her audience when she had the talk show.

Her network "OWN" is tanking rather quickly and won't be around much longer but as a talk host she gets the best guests, asks the right questions, and as HEAT111 stated, gives away a lot of free stuff.

Well I'm not questioning you or necessarily the people who watch. But people take it as a HUGE honor to be invited on her shows. I always here about celeb's talking about meeting Oprah and how they've always wanted to meet her.

I guess it's because she's an icon in the black community (I'm not black so I'm not sure), but she's been around a long time and is viewed as a black woman who rose from rock bottom.

She has been around for a LONG time. This interview kind of shows why people even watch her. I mean we just watched her LOL. She interviews people and asks things no one else does, shows what no one else shows. LIke I didn't know Bosh was crying like that. I knew he cried but I guess I didn't see a lot of videos after we lost (who did....) to see he went down like that. It feels like she's interviewed every celebrity out there, who has contributed to society anyway lol.

Then her whole giving away cars to people (WTF LOL), something about making schools in Africa. Like I have no opinion of Oprah but she does some cool things. She is more of an icon for women though I think. Her network I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't going to be so great. One thing is to have a show, but a network? There are channels like hers already like Biography or Life Time lol. And it's on cable... I think low income families would have a higher chance to watch Oprah, because the wife would haven nothing to watch! That's what my mom did like 15 years ago lol.

Great interview though.
