Time flies fast, the first game is next week!
This thread is the place to share our thoughts about our guys im summer league.

Main guys to look for :

1)Norris Cole - hopefully we dont trade him, would like to see him get alot of minutes and see how his jump shot is looking.
2)Dexter Pittman - Finally in Shape and ready to kick ass.
3)Justin Hamilton - this year's draft pick, a 6"11 Center with a nice shot
4)Jarvis Varnado - NCAA's Division I all-time career blocks leader, after he spent a year in Italy working on his game it will be interesting to see what he has to offer.
5)J'Covan Brown - A speedy scorer PG, led Texas in points.

i think he will, i just didn't bother puting him with the main guys because with Ray coming i dont see him geting any minutes. plus he's older, i dont expect any big improvment from him.

I looked up Lamont Hamilton's stats, the guy might be a player. he's 28 years old but he's dominant in france (granted, not the best european league). he's got the size for a PF and a nice shot. will be intersting to see how he does in summer leauge.

This was his 2007 scouting report
http://www.nbadraft.net/players/lamont-hamilton

Strengths: Great finisher around the basket where he attacks the rim Plays the game with good aggression and energy Doesnt needlessly put the ball on the floor in the post Fights for position and does a good job of getting his body wide to give guards a big target to pass into Possesses decent touch around the basket as he can convert on hooks and lay-ins Solid athlete who runs the court well and is an above average leaper for his size Shows good upper body strength to finish after contact Is an above average rebounder capable of boxing out and getting rebounds in his area Has a unique knack for grabbing offensive boards Versatile post player who can face-up and hit jumpers out to 16 feet from mid-range Doesnt back down from opposing defenders and plays the game with a mean streak Defensively he does a good job of not allowing the opposing players good position in the post

Weaknesses: Motivation level has long been a source of concern Has a bad habit of playing down to the level of competition Gets caught up in the moment and picks up easy fouls by being overly aggressive Hasnt learned how to blend his offensive game, too predictable Seems almost single minded either he faces up one game or plays with his back to the basket, should diversify his offensive portfolio Hands are not as soft as you would like as he has a tendency to bobble passes thrown in the post Doesnt recognize double teams well and lacks the passing ability to react without making turnovers Gets frustrated at times and forces shots that are questionable Perimeter shooting can go through periods of inconsistency Should improve his stamina as he can get winded at important times Defensively Hamilton lacks the quickness needed to be a effective shot blocker in the NBA

After seeing him play a little, he looks more like a Center. he's around 6"10 but isn't very quick, yet looks like a really skilled offensive player. he'll get his chance in summer league.

Can't wait to see what the young guys have in this summer league. Expecting some improvement and big performances from Cole, Pittman, and Varnado.

Cleveland's SL roster... :o Looks like their reg season roster.
