Lebron James 2013 Preview

Post#1 » by Glen20 » Wed Aug 1, 2012 2:13 pm

After watching James play in these Olympics i get the feeling that he's not only going to heavily utilize his newly developed post skills next season, but also explore his ability to set up his teammates. With Dwade determined to fix his jumpshot and put up good scoring numbers again, Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis coming over, and Chris Bosh working on his perimeter game, I really think Lebron could average 8-10 apg in the coming season. He would still get his own in terms of points, but maybe Wade could become our scoring leader?

What do you guys think?

wow that's really ambitious
has anyone in history put up those kind of numbers
there's no way lebron averages 30ppg on a team with both bosh and wade, and i think i prefer that to be honest
the lower lebron scores, the more we know other players are contributing

i think we'll see a 25-8-8 stat line next season

I can't see Lebron averaging anything lower than 26 next season. 25 is definitely low.

27 - 8 - 8

One/Two points higher on his assist totals last season because of the acquisition on Rashard and Ray.

he averaged 27.6 ppg with wade only scoring 22ppg
there's very little chance he averages 27ppg if wade returns to form

MH Points per game 2010-11 = 102.1 ---> Lebron = 26.7 / Dwade = 25.5
MH Points per game 2011-12 = 98.5 ---> Lebron = 27.1 / Dwade = 22.1

If Dwade returns to his 2009 godly self then I think there will be a significant increase with the Heat's PPG but it won't necessarily affect Lebron's averages.

I hope Ray talks some sense into Lebron and Wade so they realize they dont need to average close to 30 to win. 17 a piece from them while coasting regular season and winning the post season is my dream.

mmm bron gets 20 points waking up 30 mins before the game from an all night coke/whore party, downing a big mac and some fries, and barely making it to the court before tip off.

His assists should go up, but I wouldn't count on him playing for the Heat how he plays for Team USA. He played the same way for Team USA in 2008, too.

He has easily been the best passer on the team thus far, they need him to set up Durant.

I would love for Lebron to average 25 12 8. That means guys are knocking open shots.

Realisticly he will average 25-8-7. He will have all less as we move guys around in lineups! Points will stay up because he will have less double teams and he will shoot even better! Rebounds will increase a little because he will play more weak side! He will have more hockey assists that are not on e stat sheet!

I would have to agree. Game 5 in the finals was fantastic. It would be great if he could average 10+ assist per game.

Why would his rebounding numbers take such a sudden and dramatic drop-off?

Wow, you're right. I just checked his stats. Never realized he was such a high quality rebounder.
