If the Heat are the "Cheat", what does that make the Lakers?

They get Gasol for practically nothing and now they land Howard while in the process, only give up Bynum. something doesn't smell right.

everyone adores kobe so they'll just say the lakers "did it the right way" by forcing stupid GM's to give them what they want

miami has just done what the lakers have been doing for years. there is no difference except for the fact that after lebron retires the lakers will continue doing it.

Blame other GMs. They're just a well-run organization. I got no hate for their offseason moves. If we got Dwight for peanuts, I'd be happy as hell too. PEACE.

To answer the question on the topic; it makes them opportunist. People want to play in LA, they take advantage of that. Nothing wrong with that.
People that call us cheaters are just butt-hurt, we can't stoop down to their level.

From the get go the media handles the Dwight Howard decision to LA different from Lebron. ESPN just start their news for the hour by saying "Dwight Howard has rehabbed his image by choosing LA"... Umm what the hell why did he rehab his image???

Kobe, Nash, Dwight, Pau.... wow.
Their off season was VERY GOOD. I really thought they would have to give up both Pau and Bynum for Dwight but they didn't. That's some good **** to be honest.
Kobe and his pride though might be the down fall of the Lakers. There's going to be drama, and I have my popcorn ready LOL.

There isn't a huge difference overall---the reason Miami got labeled Cheat was more due to most fans hating on Lebron than really the Miami organization. It was just odd to watch 3 top 20 player (two top 5 at that time) just team up with each other. It was odd to see the best or second best player in the league join the team of the third best player in the league. There is a certain spirit that players like Jordan etc. showed , which fans got accustomed to and it just seemed as if Lebron just wanted the easiest possible route to a title.
At least be happy that you guys and OKC can somehow fantasize about how you could beat a Laker team in a playoff series because there is a slim chance you could possibly, for the rest of the league the next two years they stand absolutely zero chance against the Lakers.

Let the media focus on L.A now, it will be a welcome change, take the constant scrutiny away from us for a while at least. Let's also hope it takes some of the post summer 2010 bandwagon fans away with it as well

First off, **** the Lakers, I've hated them forever, even before they were direct competition with us(back in the Shaq-Kobe years). But, I'm more pissed off at how stupid some of these GMs are, there was no excuse to make this trade, no justifying it. Even NJ had a better offer, this is just pathetic.

LOL, Sir, among the players the Lakers gave up was Marc Gasol, who would easily be the starting Center for the Heat.
To get Dwight the Lakers gave up the second best Center in the NBA.
Please refresh my memory on who the Heat gave up in getting Lebron & Bosh...
