...in the Finals next season?
You guys realize how much that would solidify this team's legacy if they repeated by taking down one of the most stacked teams in Lakers history?
- LeBron prevents Kobe from getting his coveted 6th ring and truly proves his worth as one of the GOATs
- Nash and Howard remain ring-less
- Chris Bosh holds his own against the Howard/Gasol duo and solidifies his status as one of the best big men in the game
- Dwyane Wade gets his 3rd ring!
- Ray Allen gets his revenge on the Lakers
- The Miami Heat franchise would have 3 championships in the past 7 years
What do you guys think?

You don`t know how much, esp all these years with LA dominating, and having to go through all these arrogant LA fans. After the first christmas game I was looking forward to destroying them come the playoffs in 2011, but Dallas ruined it. Its going to be good to stop Kobe from winning chip nr 6, hopefully the tean dissolves after that with Howard skipping town (unlikely). Honestly I would be disappointed if we never met LA in the finals with the new Heat Era.

yeh that'd be great
let's be honest: dwight is not that much better than bynum
that being said, nash would have made bynum a monster
we need someone who can defend inside, particularly when bosh is on the bench

Howard is a lot better. Bynum gets overrated, especially by Lakers fans. He might be 2nd best center in the game, but the gap between him and Howard is huge. Bynum has always been reluctant to play defense and he's a black hole on offense.
Anyway, I think it would be a great Finals series if the Lakers/Heat met. Basically an All-Star game where both sides are playing their asses off.

Howard>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Bynum.
It's like Lebron vs. Carmelo Anthony. The gap is huge. The problem with Miami is that Lebron and Wade love scoring around the basket and that will be close to an impossible task with Howard there. Also the Lakers have a bunch of terrific passers in their line-up as well. The matchups just are completely in the Lakers favor.

League pass matchups are in whose favor that dictate their identity. Big men do not like to venture away from the basket. Bosh pulls out Gasol or Dwight. Lebron always gets Dwight in foul trouble! Chalmers Wade and Cole will attack Nash and Lakers need some shooters to spread floor we have plenty. By the way Lebron is on another level now!!!!

It would be great...I just want Wade to come back in good form. Praying for no injuries and an actual jump shot.

Lebrons better than Kobe but he's not better than Jordan or Magic or Bird or Kareem or Shaq(at this point)

I'm from the Miami Hurricanes mold of we don't duck anybody and welcome a hard-ass schedule.
I was thrilled to step on the Knicks throat last year, a team idiots thought would give us trouble and shut those idiot Knick fans up.
I relished defeating Boston AGAIN on the way to the Finals.
I was sad Rose went down with injury because I wanted LeBron to make him his bitch again and make those salty-ass, whiny, bitch-made Bulls fans to keep crying. To have Jokey Noah be sad in the lockeroom and eat **** again.
I was happy to face the league's new poster boy, with his phony squeaky-clean image, and make him cry after we annihilated his team in game 5 and won the title on our soil.
I would be beyond excited to have LeBron and Wade defeat Kobe in the Finals and that prima-donna Dwight Howard be ringless still.

It would be awesome for sure. I can't wait to hear the excuses from the Kobe stans when they lose to us. "Black Mamba doesn't have enough help!" "LeBron, Wade, and Bosh are meanies!" This year should be fun.

EXACTLY! This new Lakers team is nothing but another challenge for the Heat... First it was the Celtics, then it was the Thunder, and now it's the Lakers.
People are already counting us out so the Heat will have to just prove the doubters wrong once again!

If both teams make the Finals then they deserve to be there.

This is nonsense. Impossible task with Howard there? If my memory serves me correctly LeBron averaged 38/8/8 on over 50% in the playoffs against Howard. And with LBJ and Wade relentlessly attacking Howard's going to be in foul trouble if he's going for every swat, and fast. Bosh is going to be drawing Pau out of the paint and Howard's going to be left to defend an attacking LeBron or Wade alone. When they start doubling down on drives Bosh will be knocking in his automatic elbow jumper or Ray Ray will be open for 3. Howard in no way negates the best player in the World.
How do the Lakers defend a lineup of Wade/Ray/LeBron/Bosh/Shard(or Battier)? Too atheltic, too much shooting, too much passing.

Congrats guys. Your team is now the lesser of 2 evils by a wide margin. Good luck with those championships.

I like the way things have turned out... we were hated by everyone in year 1, and coming up short in the Finals was like an orgy for basketball fans everywhere. But we came back strong, earned our respect this season, and now we get the underdog role to a team that has not played together yet... now the average fan might actually be on our side for a change, and on top of that, we'd get massive respect if we beat this Lakers team.
The potential LeBron/Durant rivalry felt a bit too forced... they play the same position, but they like each other too much (Magic/Bird actually were pretty feisty with each other back in the day), and LeBron is kind of clearly the better player at this point.
Now we're not really getting LeBron/Kobe (Kobe's past that point in his career), but we are getting, potentially, a matchup of the 2 best superteams since the Lakers and Celtics in the 80's. As a fan of any team other than Heat/Lakers, yeah, it sucks, but as a basketball fan, you have to appreciate that matchup if it happens.
