Josh Harrellson Working Out For Heat

Josh Harrellson is working out for the Heat tomorrow according to his twitter account and Kentucky Sports Radio. I hope he gets signed. I wanted him in the draft last year so hopefully he will have a good workout. What do you all think?

I think Jorts would be a good signing. It appears that the Heat aren't too interested in centers like Darko or Blatche, otherwise they probably would have been signed already. Harrellson would fit in just well, and without the bad attitude and baggage.

I like Harrellson but he doesn't offer much. We gonna need size and length against Gasol-Howard. Harrellson is 6-9 with croco arms. I still don't get why we didn't bring Turiaf back, he was solid for us.

His choice. Opted out of his contract and took the same vet's minimum deal with the Clippers.

we really dont have much of a choice
we can either pickup harrellson now, groom him up through 82 games and hope he can bring an impact in 15-20 minutes
OR
we sign blatche or darko, take the risk with their attitude and possibly end up releasing them midway through the season with no guarantee they're going to be better than harrellson

at 6'10 hes not exactly undersized, a little maybe in terms of height but he is 275 pounds. Not a small dude. But for the people complaining, how about you make a call to pat riley. Tell him you think you can run the team better, and ask him to resign. Honestly :lol:

I would be ok with any of those guys really. All of them are at about the same level skill wise and im sure the heat have a reason to signing any of them. If its harrellson, its probably because character wise, he fits with the miami heat. Not going to sit here and question pat riley. I think the team is very good alrdy, but this signing just adds to our depth and gives us some more size.

Who says we signed him? What centers have we signed this offseason? The last useless one was Curry. Turiaf at least gave us some solid minutes.

For what its worth, Harrellson is a legit 6-10.

He can also be used as a spread the floor center. He has some range on his jumper
