Looks like he would take the vet min. The guy shoots a high percentage, rebounds and is a good shot blocked. Haven't seen much of him, but the FG% leads me to believe he has good hands. Him, Joel and Bosh each get 16 minutes at center. That is a good rotation for this team. He and Joel are 2 super high energy guys.

http://www.midwestsportsfans.com/2012/0 ... iami-heat/Chris Andersen would be a great addition to the Heat. He would bring great energy and athleticism to a front line that has lacked size and agility.
I know some people who read this will immediately be disgusted as Andersen is currently under investigation regarding child pornography, but for those who haven’t seen an updated version of the story….
According to multiple sources such as CBSsports.com and the Huffington Post, Andersen appears to be the victim of an extortion plot. The girl who had been sending him scantily clad photos claimed to be 21 years old, but it was discovered later that she was not. Andersen spurned her advances, but the girl and her mother told Andersen if he did not acquiesce to their demands they would take action.
That being said, it appears Andersen will not be charged. And since he is a free agent, the Heat would be wise to pick him up for cheap.
The Heat’s off-season moves thus far have been brilliant, rivaled only by the Lakers’ moves. They would be wise to act quickly on the Birdman and add another role player piece in their quest to defend their NBA Championship

Not a fan, never really was.
He's got a decent game but if it wasn't for the tats or hair no one would mention his name.
Heat love them oldies.

Yeah he wasn't even playing for Denver toward the end. I cringe at the thought of viewing a guy's athleticism as a strong point at the age of 34. We already have some guys in their mid to late 30's, but they're mostly skill players. Birdman doesn't have many skills, though his rebounding may carry over.

If his body is right he could be a better rebounder, longer, better finisher version of Joel Antony. could use him for sure.

Glad we are likely to pick him up. He physical in the paint, can fight for rebounds, athletic and knows how to move around and score off the ball. I think he fits the system well.
