The deal with certain Laker fans?

The Lakers getting Dwight basically reminded me of how much unwarranted hate they give Lebron especially on the GB. Saying stuff like he had two superstars on his team to win a title when their own team throughout its history has built stacked teams around Kobe. It's easy to say that Magic wouldn't have left the Lakers when he really didn't have a reason to. Their hate imo is the most dumbfounding. My only theory is that they need a way to downplay Lebron's accomplishments as a way to prop up Kobe. What do you guys think?

You seem insecure about the Lakers. The Heat were amazing last year and are in a great position to maintain their success. Stop hatin on my man Kobe because of some irrational fans.

Am not insecure about the Lakers. Like you said, we are still the favorites. I wonna get people's opinions on why some Laker fans seem obsessed with hating the way this team was put together even though they have been stacking talent for as long as i can remember.

That is a dumb theory IMO. I don't personally hate lebron neither do Lakers Fans only arrogant fans do. If your really going to talk trash about how Kobe has stacked teams then look at Lebrons current team. The big 3 or big 4 wasn't just recently invented lmao. They have been doing this since the beginning of the NBA.

Well it's clear that you don't fit the description but there are a lot of people from your fan base that think like that and i don't think you'll deny that. I find those people just dumbfounding but they are probably changing their tune now that you guys are getting some heat for landing Dwight.

Ok well tell me who they are. Do you not understand just how good Dwight Howard is? Everyone has been phrasing him for the past 3 years, and all of sudden when he goes to the Lakers he isn't good? HMPH well we will see about that come Jan 17th

That one regular season game won't prove anything. In the 2011 season the bulls swept us during the season and the celtics won 3 out of 4. Come 2011 playoffs, we spanked both of them. So...it'll take an NBA Finals matchup between the Heat and the Lakers to really tell who is the better team.

For one do you read our board ?

LeBron is hardly ever mentioned on our board, secondly what you're doing is generalizing a fan base. When LeBron left Cleveland for Miami, NBA fans in LA really didn't give it a thought.

So in reality your beef is with GB Laker/Kobe fans.....those dude don't rep our fan base, as they have their own wicked agenda anyway. For the record I'm a long time Laker fan and NBA fan, I've got no ill will towards LeBron or the Heat at all.

Hell if teams can field a team of 12 All Stars I wouldn't complain at all, it's up to the rest of the leagues teams to figure out a way to start running their teams in a professional manner. Winning is the only thing that matters to teams like the Lakers, Heat, Spurs and Celtics. But again NBA fans in LA don't concern our days with LBJ, he's a great player we know that.

I've actually read the Lakers board and they barely talk about the Heat let alone LeBron. Only when LeBron is mentioned is when rings and Kobe are involved. That's when there's fan fights about who's better, mostly in GB obviously. I have actually seen Laker fans praise LBJ while hating on Kobe shotjacking, as well as many of them picking us to win the Finals.

Anyway, just like how many Heat fans were excited for LBJ and Bosh to come, it's very exciting for their to get Dwight AND Nash.

It's only natural to gloat because of those things. Meh, just ignore it all and whatever happens in June will speak for itself.

I have seen some Laker fans hate on the Heat since LBJ and Bosh came here. But guess what? Hundreds of other people from other fanbases felt the same way. Then there's Laker fans who are somewhat hated by everyone anyway, including their team. The Yankees of basketball lol.

Remember when NY got Carmelo, then Chandler in the off season, JR Smith, etc. NY's fanbase erupted into quarrels with Heat fans. How did that go? Our team beat them in the playoffs, they continue to hate us, but we still have had the upper hand. Fans will be fans.

I gotta say, I was expecting something different myself when I read the thread title, given that we had some actual Laker trolls on this board just recently, who lashed out on the entire Heat organization and not just LeBron.

Well for one, you're one of the posters that i respect because every time i see your posts, you usually say something intelligent. Secondly, maybe you are right that my beef is with GB Laker/Kobe fans which is the reason why the title says "certain" i was implying those fans and i didn't say that they represented your fan base at all. If anybody never read your board and only read the GB, they would think that the vast majority of you guys were haters but i definitely won't make that generalization. You know what, i will take up your suggestion to read your board more than i usually do to find out that validity of your claims about your board.

@cb1.....Yeah I get where you were going with it, it's just that you did use the word "certain" but it didn't create a definitive clarity about which Laker fans you're going after. If you had said GB Laker fans (and most of the Kobe bandwagons hang there) I would've had no questions to your post. But I get you, those clowns make our whole base look bad at times.

But again if you do pass through our board, you'd see that if Lebron is brought up it's usually in a high regard. Then at the same time he's not an obsessive topic on it either.

@DefenseWins.....great post, and I was one of the Laker fans to pick the Heat to win the title. Not because OKC beat us, but because sometimes you can just see that look in guys eyes. I saw that look in Lebron when you guys fell down to the Celtics 3-2......he had finally found that killer instinct.

Well that wasn't the purpose of cb1's thread, and it shouldn't be a debate about who we have to go through. Another thing is I do hope you realize we've owned the Spurs in the playoffs, and it's not like OKC totally destroyed us. We failed to finish/execute games in the end more than anything. And I don't think smart Laker fans have us as a automatic lock to the Finals either, but we aren't afraid to play OKC or San Antonio.

But the purpose of the thread was cb1 stating how certain Laker fans or Kobe lovers view Lebron.
