We almost have too much depth this season. We have guys who won't see any minutes who could be starting and contributing on other teams. Is it time to start collecting draft picks?

if Lewis can play at this kind of level we will be scary deep.

Hopefully UD starts to make his shot, and I hope they start to play Miller more if so my god they're going to be deadly.

I agree about Rashard. If he gets a shot going and gets better on D, our bench will be VERY good.

Such an upgrade from 2 years ago. Wow.

Ray Allen was basically the bench tonight. Sprinkle of Cole and Lewis.

I don't know how Spo is going to put in people like UD and JOEL. Too deep. I guess it depends on the situation.

If Rio also sends his game into the next level (seeing his improvements already), we can be repeating champs.

Long season. We'll need the depth.

Lewis is very important, and i love how he looked. it's a good sigh when he's ready to go from day 1 : 10 points, took just 5 shots, and 5 boards in just 20 minutes. UD and Joel might get their mintes taken away from them, but that's a good "problem" to have.

UD will always get minutes because we'll need some consistent center type contributions (rebounding and defense) when Bosh is out.

His minutes will likely be down relative to year's past where he would contribute those center type minutes and PF duty as well. But, it looks like Joel may struggle to get into the rotation unless the matchup really calls for it

Guys we are looking scary good right now... After last year Im thoroughly convinced that LeBron James is just a freak of nature in his prime that cannot be stopped by anyone. He's playing at a level that only top 10 GOAT players can relate to. We all know Wade's gonna Wade and Bosh is gonna Bosh. If the supporting cast keeps contributing in a big way like they've shown throughout the playoffs last season then I fail to see how this team can be beaten at its best. And YES that includes the Lakers.

Only thing I can see derailing us is injuries, but then again this is where our depth comes in. With guys like Ray Allen coming off the bench we don't need to rely on our stars nearly as much throughout the regular season.

Our only enemy in this dog fight are the injuries. Anything else will be nothing.

What impressed me the most was the half court offense

The ball just wasn't getting forced (although dwade went back to this late a small bit). And lebron...omg...he just looked so calm. Even his long shots didn't looked like the old time desperation heaves. They were in rhythm and silky smoothe.

Ray obviously had a great game, but I was more satisfied with just knowing we had a guy who will make the right decision even if he doesn't hit the shot (although he was ridiculous last night). For me, there was far far less of a "dwade bosh lbj not here....oh @&$" feeling." I remember times last season it was like watching 4 guys waiting for the one big3 still playing to do something (with the exception of Cole, lol, he would heave the rock every possession even with Jordan Hakeem Bird And Magic playing beside him)

Shard backing into the basket off that inbounds with the shot clock winding down and ray being denied was just awesome. Maybe my favorite play of game.

The defensive rotations looked so good too. There is no question that this season is gonna start so much more smoothly than our first with the big3 and the lockout shortened season last year. It's amazing what a year playing together can do for a team.

Watching the Lakers for the first quarter last night reminded me of our own growing pains.

I was having a simular conversation with a LAker fan, I had to sympathize because we went throught this in 2010. But for us beating the Celtics like that was so pleasing. We scored 120 pts, with out Lebron in the fourth quarter.

Only improvement I want is not letting the other team scoring over a 100

Thing is when we were struggling there wasn't other superteams. Now there is. Its going to be more difficult for the lakers than it was for us and they don't have but a 2 year window with this group. They are two years behind us to boot. And our best three is better than their best three

Rio's game has really improved. DefenseWins mentioned him taking his game to the next level. I think he just might. He has kept up the level of aggression from the playoffs. Instead of just waiting for when one of the Big3 are out, he's pushing the ball and attacking the rim alongside them, and his court vision has really improved. He made some nice entry passes in the Celtics game. I don't think it's farfetched to say Chalmers is at least Conley good, if not better. He considers himself a Top5 PG, right? Maybe he's gonna try playing up to that boast now.

Also, I think Joel is out of the rotation. I don't see any minutes for him, unless we're having problems with size. It's not like he's big himself, but his shot blocking adds an extra dimension on defense, at the expense of offensive production. PEACE.

It's not like Haslem is a world-beater on offense either. I'll take Joel's shot blocking and rotating over Haslem's rebounding and 30% successful jump shot.

Yup. And the thing that makes him so valuable to this team is his ability to be productive without needing the ball in his hands that much... A LOT of great PGs in the NBA can't do that (see: Steve Nash on the Lakers).

I like this roster the way it is, if anyone gets dropped it should be Pittman and it should be to add a big man. McDyess is too old and sold to run what Miami would need him to do.
