Battier took a hard fall and came up limping, but he was able to jog into the locker room, so hopefully the sprain isn't too serious. Mike Miller, Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis figure to absorb extra playing time if Battier is shelved for any games.

I trust he'll be okay. He's one of the least injury prone players in the league. The Heat have like 4 days off too. He'll be fine.

Maybe this means Lewis will come out of Spo's dog house?

Is there any report about how Jorts is doing in the practice facility, how he fits with the team of the court and so on?

*Edit
Just read through the last pages in the 'Random Thought XIII' thread.

Lots of questions about Jorts, but what about Lewis? Why hasn't Shard seen any action lately? I'd like to see him get a chance. PEACE.

Start James Jones and slide LeBron to the 4.

While we are at it, start Joel at the 1 and slide Chalmers to the 5.

I think he'll be fine with some time off to recuperate. This could be a blessing in disguise, as we'll now be able to see more of Rashard Lewis, Josh Harrellson, and maybe even Dexter Pittman alongside our starters during the game. Hopefully this gives us time to leave LeBron at the small forward spot, and explore some of our taller lineups.

Thankfully, with the likes of Ray Allen, James Jones, Mike Miller, and even Harrellson on the bench, we shouldn't lose too much from deep. Battier's defense is where we might miss him, especially with our well-documented defensive lapses thus far this season.

Chalmers probably a better rebounder. I'm ok with this.

Coaching is not a job in your future. Not even in NBA 2k....

Not sure how this is a blessing in disguise. Shane has been hitting that corner 3 at a very high clip. And He hasnt been slacking off on defense like other players. Shane is better than Lewis.

^ding ding ding. Shane has been killing it from the corner and is always bringing the effort. Glad to hear that he didn't hurt himself too bad.

To your point...

Crazy: Shane Battier has made more corner 3s this season than MIN, CHI, SAC, NOH and ORL. (via NBA's stats tool)
