Creatively Adding Talent while staying the course... the E&T

At this point we like the structure of the team but would love to add a big or some rebounding to the team without giving up too much assets and without breaking up what we like that we have. Riley I'm certain is thinking of ways to add talent which he is a mastermind at... the new CBA put us in a position most teams aren't in and most teams won't test. The new CBA got rid of the Sign & Trade partially, which means if a player is in their final year they can't do it... what they can do is an extend and trade which allows the team to offer a contract for up to two years.
So why this? Well this takes max players out... but this increases the value of mid tier players... but Riley has the knack to acquire talent and I think this is another option. Teams arent willing to gamble on players with the luxury tax looming. 2014 is around the corner, if a team likes the 76ers pick(especially with Bynum's uncertain return). we see the expiring talent that we wouldn't be able to get on the open market, overvalue their 2013 value so they can sign a contract with a 2014 Team option when all our contracts come off the books.
I look at only two players that I would target currently. I love Paul Millsap and his talent... I think he could be a huge boost the team starting the 4 or off the bench as the 1st big. His rebounding (~10rebs) would be much needed, leading the Jazz in 3pt% at the same time(yes 3pt% while taking more 3s this far into the season than any other season before), double digit points, good basketball iq and size(6'8" and 245lbs) and hes only 27. A future frontcourt of Bosh,Millsap, and Lebron makes me drool. His play may have pushed him out of our 1st round price range but talks on the Jazz board is they will have to decide between Millsap and Al Jefferson so Kanter and Favors get enough developing time. Both Millsap and Jefferson are expirings. Millsap makes around 6 mil which puts him in our range to offer something along the lines of the 1st with Joel and JJ but may have to add talent(Cole, Rashard) now that Millsap has been playing so well. A contract with a 2013 salary under 10 mil I think would get it done since Millsap won't make that on the open market. Team option 2014.
The other player I look at is Samual Dalembert. We've spoken about him enough and we know for what reasons. True center, rebounding, blocking, etc. Similar contract scenario and so on. The Bucks and the Jazz maybe afraid to lose these players to the open market or for nothing and less callers due to the luxury tax and the value of assets under the new CBA.
If anyone thinks this is far fetched .... its true. But I'm thinking of ways to make the team better outside of the box. Hope I was able to entertain you all today.
