Welcome. Damn, the ESPN board? is that any good? I remember when it was the worst place to talk about basketball.

LOL
Yeah, it still is, except now it's WORSE. I had been posting there a long time, but the bad moderating has driven a lot of posters away. Old habits, I guess.

I only go there to laugh my head off at the stupidity.

Yeah, that's pretty much all it's good for is the laughs.
I was going to register for insidehoops because I know a few former ESPNers there, but then they said the registration had been temporarily disabled or something, so I figured I'd try this place.

Insidehoops is also a great place for laughs. The kobetards are some of the greatest sources of entertainment on that board. I'm glad the admins don't ban them.

I used to post on the ESPN boards some 10 years ago. It used to be a great place to post, then it got overrun. For a few years it was the best, and a lot of great Heat posters used to converge there.

Cool. That's actually when I started posting there. 10 years ago.

In my opinion.. the ESPN board and reddit are the worst possible sites to find knowledgeable NBA fans and legit opinions. ESPN is such a household name that you could be a 12 year old in britain and will sign up because it's a popular name like ESPN. And reddit is just a bunch of video game meme posting kids who will rage on you if you don't like their player. A picture of Big Baby in a wig will get more attention then a paragraph long break down of who is the best player in the league asking for opinions... Just an example ofcourse.
Welcome to the best basketball based forum on the net !

Those were the good ol days when Heat vs Knicks was premium message board fare. Guys like heatfan and DJ were our board patriarchs. I wish we had some way of reconnecting because that was a great group of posters.
It seems like this board has lost some of it's old timers too as I don't see many members posting here that have join dates before summer 2010.
