POLL: Can Heat Reach Bulls 72-10 Record?

I'm not even a Heat fan but this team is just so damn fun to watch and it's amazing how good they are. It's almost unfair to the rest of the league. I've watched all their games so far and their not even playing their best basketball (wade struggling, slow starts, etc...) and they STILL have the best record in the Eastern Conference. I can't imagine how good they'll be when everything starts to click. Pending no major injury occurs, I honestly believe this team can surpass Bulls 72-10 record.

So...Can They?

The goal is to work on our rotations, and stay healthy. I personally could care less about 72 wins. I see us winning 55 to 60.

This team was built for breaking championship records... We could careless about regular season records.

They can but it requires 2 factors:

1) LeBron playing at near 100%, 39-40 mins a game.

2) Wade pushing it every game and trying to hit 25ppg on 50% shooting.

If those two players do it, it will set the tone for everyone else.

Neither will do it because it is just not worth it.

Miami will go on long win streaks, then hit a few games of losing bumps when they're comfortable with the standings. Rinse repeat.

You want this team to aim for about 60 wins, top seeding in the East, and that's it. No point trying to fight for 70 wins.

That being said.. It would be fun to do it.. If we break the record and clinch the championship, we'll go down as one of the greatest teams of all time..

No. Nor should they try. The league is a lot tougher these days.

55 wins??? Stop it bro! U could really see us losing damn near 30 games?? That being said I expect us to hold out abt the same win % so we'll probably win abt 65-66 games.

But let me be the first to say it, the Heat definitely will go on a 20+ win streak this year! Book it!

We could have done it..

If we had Varejao at Center.

Uh no... I still see the team that sometimes doesn't play hard all game, defensive struggles, player struggles here and there, our inside defense needs a bit of work, no REAL big man next to Bosh or having a center that's better on the boards, with the hustle.

We are already have 3 losses within 15 games. While it's impressive, it hurts the chance of just losing 10 games. We still have to go up against top dogs again.

And then they will throw away some games at the end of the regular season to prepare for playoffs.

I'd love to see them beat the record, but they look too much into the post-season (which isn't bad at all), to care about the regular season.

I would be shocked if they even win 70 games.

I can see them winning maybe 60 games though.

People forget last year we looked impressive, unstoppable, then the All-Star break came and everything fell apart. Who knows if that will happen again? It's like they get restless for the post-season and start to fall apart.

With our love for coasting and lack of inside presence, prioritising health (rightfully so) and our defensive issues - i dont expect more then 57 wins.

We're all about the playoffs.

This team doesn't really care about regular season records and won't push the way they'd have to to beat that 72-10 record. I'm fine with that, I'd rather we limit guys minutes and keep them fresh than play them 40 minutes every night. Though to be honest, I feel like we could beat 90% of the teams just playing our guys normal minutes.

Personally I think it's possible, but I doubt it. Heat are one Center away from doing it though.

NO this team isnt capable of it. it isnt a knock on this team, it's just a point to how good that bulls team was.

This team doesnt care about setting win records unless its amount of championships in a row a team has won. They know they dont need to have the most amazing regular season in league history, they just need to stay healthy and get a solid rotation going by the playoffs.

I think ya'll could pull it off sometime in the next two seasons if the defense improves. Not this year though.

The only way i could imagin this hapning is if we win some more titels and we'll need some new challenges + we'll have to draft a stud defensive Center. even then it's not likely, the leauge is stronger and deeper now.
