Shaq Finally Giving Bosh Some Respect

As LeBron would say, "It's about damn time". Shaq has been one of the biggest bullies when it comes to Bosh and has always been disrespectful and downright arrogant.
Off the top of my head, some of the stuff he said are...
- Obviously him calling Bosh "RuPaul of big man".
- Saying the Heat have a Big 2.
- Saying that the Big 3 is actually Bron/Wade/Haslem.
- Predicting him not even making the All-star team last year. (He had Mo Williams lol)
- Dissing him for showing emotion after losing in NBA finals.
- Anytime chuck/kenny/ernie says something good bout him, he yells "STOP IT" like an idiot.
- Calling him soft on air multiple times.
- etc...
But now apparently he has a change of heart...here's his quotes.
"You know, I just had to realize that not every big guy plays like a big guy, He's mastered this niche."
"He's a fabulous player, and he came back after missing a couple of weeks last year and actually helped the Heat win, and so, this style of play that the centers are adapting to now, he's one of the best. He's mastered this style."
"I mean, me, as a big man, I like big guys to play physical, but if you have the ability to step out, shoot the jumper and make it, and stretch the defense, and it helps you win championships, then that's what you do."
"I admit it, I didn't want to admit it. But the game has changed. They've changed so much that you don't even see centers on the All-Star ballot."
"The only problem that he'll probably have to face is if they meet the Lakers in the Finals, But in their minds, it'll be an advantage, because then Dwight will have to come out and play him.
So, that's the question. Yes, he can play center, because there's not really a lot of big, powerful strong centers left. And then most of the guys that are so-called big, strong, powerful, on the other hand, they have to defend that pick and roll, and with Chris Bosh stretching you out, the advantage will go to Chris Bosh."
I personally am still not a fan of him and thinks he needs to be fired from "Inside the NBA"...but hey, better late than never.

Better late than never. Dude finally realized that era of back to the basket bigs era is over.
The game is changing, don't bash a guy whose game/style fits his team perfectly.

Could also be a shot at Dwight Howard " the advantage will go to Chris Bosh"
He is implying Bosh> Howard
But regardless, it was still good to see Bosh getting respect.

No one would say that last year.
Bosh definitely brings more offensively, and is a better pick and roll defender, and on top of that he can make free throws.

When Bosh said he didn't realize how much he had to sacrifice until he had to go through it... nobody on the Heat sacrificed as much on the court than this guy did.
There is no glory in what was "reduced" to. He had to reinvent himself in many ways that nobody notices.
He's setting picks / screens constantly, defense vs bigs, anchoring the defense down low, protecting the rim, taking 2-3 seasons to find out where his niche offensive spots would be. He's the guy doing all the dirty work in the paint area. Night in, night out you can be rest assured he's doing work even though his box score might not show it. He's the guy that was forced to change the most in order to "adapt".
Much respect to this guy, he's improved into a player that is frankly, one of the best overall paint players in the league.

I'm enjoying reading your posts, Tien. Keep it up.
Anyway, I think Shaq hated Chris Bosh ever since Bosh said that Shaq camps in the lane or something after the Raps lost to the Suns. It's great to see Shaq acknowledge what Bosh brings to the table and how he helps us at the Center position from a non-traditional way.

With Shaq it's always personal, look at the players he criticizes. The sole reason he disrespected Bosh is because Bosh said something about him. Now that Bosh has won, he's using him to bash Dwight. It's no honest respect, Shaq is just a little fagg*t who holds grudges longer than a girl on her period.

Its frustrating watching how Miami used Bosh the last 2 years. He's one of the best iso faceup bigmen in the league and he was reduced to a spot up shooter and release valve for LeWade. But now it seems he's becoming the number 2 option in Miami, or at least so far this season.
He's also the type of bigmen that will age great, considering his game isn't about athleticism. He's a player every team in the league would want on their team, and you can't say that about Boozer/Amare/Lee or whoever he gets compared to. Glad Shaq is letting go of this childish feud.

Thanks for the kind words.
I think it was the way they were using him along with a few other factors:
- They really don't run plays for for Bosh, as Spo alluded to earlier this season. He's doing a better job of finding his shots within the offense and recognizing when he has an opportunity to score.
- Joel Anthony at starting Center was a terrible decision that I'm sure Spo regrets. It pretty much ensures that the opposing defense will cheat off Joel and collapse the paint. Wade and LBJ were also affected by this since their game is predicated on attacking the paint.
- Bosh at Center is mismatch for most Cs and that's helped Bosh immensely because of his skill set.

The not running many plays part has helped Bosh in general. We don't really have an option ranking anymore. Whoever has it going will receive the ball until the other team's defense reacts to it. If they don't, well enjoy getting scored on a lot. Just look at CB's 40-point game against Denver. We kept feeding him and Denver didn't adjust to it, so that night we used him as our main gun. This would've never happened in previous years, when we did have an option ranking. Now it's whoever has it going and a good rhythm will receive the ball.

No, he doesn't. He's a jealous kid in a huge man's body, and right now he hates Howard much more than Bosh, so he'll take any opportunity to trash Howard that he can.
He already hated Dwight for taking the Superman persona (while being the most dominant C in the league and playing for the Magic), now that Dwight moved to LA, Shaq must have lost his damn mind.
I wish people would just ignore him completely. Don't comment on what he's saying, don't post his quotes, don't mention his name. IGNORE his big fat ass, just like you don't stop and write down what a crazy person is saying if you pass one in the street.
So there: ignore Shaq completely and TNT will get rid of him soon enough.

Chris Bosh has evolved defensively! He should be all defense! His jumper and 1 dribble drive is incredible!
