If he keeps playing the way he is on the defensive end. God we could have used him during the 2011 final when Barea was going off on anyone who was guarding him. Sorry, I can't let 2011 go yet.

He looks good on D lately but still commits stupied foules and Barea isn't exactly an all star. but yea, compared to Mario he does look like the defensive player of the year.

What we need from him is to hit the jumpers in a good clip, i remember his first game Vs the Celtics when his shot was cash money. even in the preseason he was hitting everything. for some reason his shot is off in real games..

I'm not calling for him to make the 1st team but his defense has been impressive so far this season. Every good defender commits dumb fouls from time to time.

I have been enjoying his defensive pressure against Williams and Barrea so far. I can't wait to see him continue getting that confidence.

He's been good compared to other defensive PG's

He's being amazing defensively compared to Rio

And he's been consistent at it, he never takes a defensive assignment off, always brings the energy. To me Norris could the best in the league at defending quick point guards the same way Boston talked about Avery Bradley and considered him to be the DPOY.

The only thing that Norris is missing to become a starter is to learn how to use his quickness better to get to rim and finish ala Tony Parker, he really needs to master the floater an the spin move.

He can use his quickness and athleticism to jump a lil more in lenght and a lil less in height ala Tony Parker. If he learns how extend his arm and to jump more in length he will have an easier time finishing past shot-blockers than over them.

Even Chalmers who is less athletic and much slower than Norris has started to use this technique effectively.

^Very true about parker, we've been saying he should model his game after him for a while. Tony didnt have a great jumpshot either, now he's got a superb shot.

The problem is, Tony is probably a top 5 PG im terms of talent in the last 20 years. it's not that easy to become similar to him. Cole needs to work on his shot day and night, that's the key for the rest of his game and the most important skill we need from him after his D.

His defense has been excellent this year, we finally have someone to stop those quick PGs who have been killing us for the past few years. He won't make a defensive team though since those are pretty much based on reputation. Kobe will probably end up taking his spot.

His shot has been way off though, which is disappointing.

Coming off the bench also helps cole, his enery is off the charts, Idk if his energy on D will be this super good if he is a starter.

He has been superb defensively but it is wishful thinking for him being on a Defensive Team

I mean, if Bruce Bowen could make an all defensive team a few years ago, Cole should be able to do it also assuming that he can maintain this level of suffocating D for a whole season.

Cole isn't even a starter. He's playing 20 minutes a night. Give me a break.

Yeh this, he isn't starting, or playing a huge role off the bench. He has been great, and I have enjoyed watching him as much as anybody this year. Love this play by Norris. Even knew to give it to LeBron.

Not enough minutes IMO. I love him, as everyone knows, but I just don't think Cole's got enough minutes or exposure to merit such recognition. PEACE.

I'm just giving credits when it's due. I'm not saying that Cole will make for sure the Defensive team, I'm just saying that his level of play if maintained or improved is deserving of a defensive team selection.

Obviously he doesn't get enough minutes right now to make it. Another guy that I think was deserving of making a defensive despite not playing huge starter minutes was Sefolosha when he was on the Bulls.
