AUBURN HILLS, Mich.—
Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade has been suspended from Friday night's game against the Detroit Pistons for his kick to the groin of Charlotte Bobcats guard Ramon Sessions during Wednesday's road victory.

Wade was cited Thursday night by the NBA, "for flailing his leg and making contact with the groin" of Sessions.

Looks like LeBron is gonna have a HUGE night. Hopefully Ray Ray is back. If not, then MM is likely to start with UD.

At least it's only the Pistons.

Hopefully Ray will be back for the start, I'd expect he would have played against Boston yesterday if we had them instead of the Lolcats.

Can someone explain to me the difference between Wade's small, not hard or malicious leg movement to his groin and Jason kidds game CHANGING, offensive foul, just as dangerous leg kick out on his 3 pointer a couple weeks ago?

Kidd gets praised. Wade gets suspended. Welcome to the NBA.

Kidds kick resulted in a Stackhouse injury which he missed the next game.

It's different because Wade plays for the Heat. The refs have always had it in for them since Riley got here. It's called bias and unprofessional behavior.

Dude, I'm as big a Heat fan as anyone in here and can honestly say those situations aren't even really comparable. First off, you're never ever going to get suspended for attempting to draw an offensive foul for kicking your leg out TO THE SIDE in an attempt to draw contact on a shot. It's supposed to just be a no-call, but sometimes you'll get the occasional offensive foul call on it... or even now with recent rules a flop warning/fine.

Wade on the other hand, kneed a guy in the balls after initial contact was already made... accident or not it's a totally different play/situation. One has nothing to do with the other. And honestly it didn't look like the cleanest "accident"... at the very least Wade over exaggerated his twitch movements/response the contact and because of that he got Sessions in the groin. I personally am fine with some kind of reprimand because if someone caught one of our guys in the balls and it looked like it could have been a sneaky move or purpose, I would be pissed and hope the league not let them get away with it. Take off the homer goggles ya'll, Wade's not an angel or anything.

Our record without dwayne wade is amazing, last year and this one included.
I AM NOT WORRIED. Wade is needed vs OKC,Boston and likes.

Rational because you agree with it?
GTFO.

I could care less if he did it intentional.

KG does crap like this all the time and he's labeled a Warrior/Competitor. Heat fans, Stop buying into this rediculous Biased hate on our team.

A big FU to the league...despite he's not getting paid nor he's playing. Atleast he's getting his rest. And besides all of that, this the Pistons lol.

KG should be suspended when he does these things too. no one said anything about that. that came from within you somewhere.

but the lack of rationality came in the comparison to jason kidd's 4-point play. i'll humor you and say the slight kick out was intentional and warranted a no-call at best. [though his feet never exceed shoulder width.] but that compares to a knee in the grapes how? please, show me a rational link to the two.

i would condemn wade's actions if he had on my team's uniform. let's not project your frustrations here. if you believe wade shouldn't be suspended for that play, that's fine. i'd suggest you check your temperature, but you're entitled to that belief. no need to attack people who didn't agree, then completely sidestep the point because you're mad, champ.

AUBURN HILLS, Mich.—
Dwyane Wade insisted Friday he did not target the groin of Charlotte Bobcats guard Ramon Sessions with the Wednesday kick that left him with a one-game suspension, with the Miami Heat instead claiming they are the ones being targeted by unnecessary roughness.

Wade on Thursday was suspended by the NBA for Friday night's game against the Detroit Pistons, "for flailing his leg and making contact with the groin" of Sessions, an incident that occurred with 8:12 remaining in the fourth quarter of the Heat's 105-92 victory at Time Warner Cable Arena....

Click the Sun Sentinel link to see more. Great article by Ira. Spoelstra telling it how it is: our guys are reacting to the excessive physical play that our opponents have been giving us this season. The groin kick was a bit much, but someone has to go out there and bust a lip to keep the other team in check from continuously hard fouling Wade, LeBron, and Bosh. It is too bad Wade has become that guy who has to be a 'goon'/enforcer, because he is such a key part of our team, a super star.

Can we just pay Juwan to stay on the Heat bench, in a suit, for these types of situations? Or better yet, activate Pittman?

They're used to whining and complaining because they have to listen to Tommy Heinsohn almost all season long. They're the perfect example for homerism with their double-standard.

Agree completely. Could you imagine if LeBron or Dwyane did what Henderson did the other night? It's an incredibly dangerous play. Say what you want about Dwyane's kick, intentional or not, but I'd much rather be kicked in the balls than get tackled in mid air.

The refs consistently let stupid crap like this get out of control just like the Pacers series last year. Then, we have to retaliate so we don't get pushed around and then we get punished for it. The fake tough guy act teams ty to pull on us is annoying, yet pretty amusing considering it doesn't work. Gerald Henderson's best impression of Danny Granger circa 2012 ECSF was pretty funny to watch.
