Small-Ball, did we see enough?

Again out-rbounded by 20+ tonight.
Wondering what the fan base think about Spo's constant small ball.
I think we should dump it, and only use it very very limited minutes.
Rotation should be more like :
Rio/Cole
Wade/Allen
LBJ/Battier
Bosh/Kenyon Martin
_____/Jorts/Joel
Enough with Bosh at Center, Enough with Battier at PF, Enough with Miller and Haslem as rotation players.
We still need to find a big body to start at Center (Dalembert? Andersen?) but even if we can't get one, play a god damn Center. the best we've got.

Haslem starts with bosh. How is that small ball? Haslem needs to do his job and rebound.

It should only be used for a limited amount of matchups. I'm not really sure why Spo just assumed it would work against every team.

That "Small-Ball" mess got called out by fricking Joakim Noah.It takes a toll on the guys, when they're asked to worked doubly hard on the glass, against bigger guys. The EFFORT is so inconsistent.

I guess you're not watching the games. Haslem, at his best days (around 2007) was a PF. Bosh is a PF.
In no way shape or form, this washed up version of Haslem is a Center. at this point, he's just one the weakest worst PF's in the leauge. Realtalk hurts but we we need to face the music.

I like Haslem but dude ain't gonna get you those rebounds. Everybody and their moms knows our weakness. We lack size. They know they beat us up inside and they win. You know what our response is? So? more effort, more lebron. We did it before we will do it again.

ThisX10000000000000000000000000000 i wish Bosh would actually start doing his job and rebound the ball. It's a shame that Lebron has to lead us in rebounding.

I like it deployed strategically to gain an advantage. As an all-out strategy, it makes us too vulnerable in obvious areas and requires an excess of effort to balance. I don't like the extra toll that it's going to take on our guys, particularly LeBron and Shane.

Bosh won't get you rebounds over the best rebounder its not gonna happen. We don't have the personnel. We can just hope he gets some and lebron and wade get some

Bosh is simply too small frame wise to bang inside.
We need a big, a banger badly.

@EthanJSkolnick
Chris Bosh on the Heat's rebounding problems: "I'm out of recommendations."
Wade and Bosh both referenced Heat's lack of relative size. Battier spoke in offseason about risks of full-season small-ball. U get picture.
Spoelstra pushing theme that Heat has enough rebounders in the room. Players, verbally, are pushing a bit back.
Oy vey.

I said it at the start of the season...
Why waste small ball in the regular season?
Last year we started Joel at the 5, Bosh at the 4.
Why cant we do that now and conserve this small ball thing for the playoffs?
I actually think it DOES and CAN work if our guys play 100%. But in the regular season, they dont play 100%, so it wont.
Just do what we did last year.....

Yeah but how is starting two Pfs and the biggest sf in the game small ball? The problem is guys aren't rebounding who should be rebounding.

If we do that then our offense will suffer because teams wont guard the banger. They'll be sagging off wade and doubling their centers over on lebron. And then well all be crying about how the offense sucks.
I think its best to just take our lumps and get through the regular season.

I voted the first option. It works as long as the guys put in the effort. If it's taxing, then play Jorts, bring back Pittman or recall Hamilton. When their rampant fouling and other ineffective play becomes apparent, then we can pine for some team to trade us their decent big for our cluster of scrubs.
Was Turiaf that good? Because we could have just re-signed him for the vet min. PEACE.

Jorts, Pittman and Hamilton won't do it.. They're all trash...Hamilton, well.. I really don't know..
We should've signed a big instead of Rashard Lewis this offseason..

bosh at center is not the problem - he's taller than jo noah and actually weighs 5 lbs more i think. if bosh had just a 1st step and no jumper (like, say, amir johnson), no one would question him playing center.
the problem is the overuse of battier at the 4. it's just not a good match up, especially against teams like the bulls who have bigs that can move their feet. there's no advantage gained there.
