How long before coaches for the ASG is decided?

Does anyone know?

I can't believe Spo might actually get his first ASG appearance.

If he makes it he should use the ASG (for a short period) to show how well Wade/James/Bosh can work with a proper PG and Center :lol:

It'd be nice, but not realistic. We'll have to live with a $4mil/yr PG and $4mil/yr PF.

Mike Woodson might get his first ASG appearance before Spo does.

Congrats to Spo. It looks like he'll be the East's coach this year. I'm assuming he'd rather not go, but I hope he runs KG and Melo into the ground. Let Wade and Bron sit most of the game.

I really thought the new rule is if someone has been ASG coach the previous year they can't be ASG coach the next year?

knicks have easy games..
we have it tough with boston, brooklyn, pacers and toronto on road

if we go 2 - 2 it will be mike woodson

That is the rule. Thibodeau coached the East last year.

I don't think Spo wants to go but that's not going to stop him from trying to win these next few games. It's a close race and I think our team is trying to get Spo in his first ASG. Their effort since their 5 day break has been pretty damn good.

popovich got selected to be the western conference coach of the asg, i don't know why spo didn't get picked yet. even if the knicks are on top of us by january 3, spo still deserves it more because honestly besides the first month of the season, the heat have been way more consistent then the new york knicks...

Pop was selected beaucse there is no way the spurs dont have the best record on feb 3rd. if miami losses the nesxt 2 and ny wins their next 3 then woodson would coach, which is not happening. so after the next heat win(or knicks loss) spo will be named coach.
