Curious.

Last time they played was Thursday. Next time they play is Wednesday.

Anyone got an idea maybe why this is? I don't even remember a 5 day break during the shortened, 3 games in a row season last year.

to be honest i seriously don't know why they're off that long, your question is as good as mines. health wise it's defiantly good for lebron, d-wade, ray allen joel & shane battier to rest up on some of their injuries. from a miami heat fan point of view (myself) this **** is killing me also and now i can see why popovich was mad at the nba schedulers, this is the type of break that an old team like san antonio needs, not us...

Who knows? Wonky schedules are wonky. I think the second half of our season is gonna be pretty heavy, but the guys have saved plenty of energy for the job.

I do think we deserved the benefit of an easy schedule, being the defending champs. I'd like to think we earned it. PEACE.

This. Especially when the Heat were just getting their groove back, this team aint that old. 2-3 days is good enough but damn near a whole week could make them go back to their complacent ways.

Man I really hate the schedule this year.

I'm sure the team is loving it though

Don't forget, they also going to have the All-Star Weekened off despite our Big 3 at the All-Star Game.

This possibly could be what Bosh needs though to get back into rhythm.

I think its courteous I mean they were on the road for like 2 weeks they should at least have some break after that

cause the arena is in use.

Obviously to get ready for the big game against the Raptors.

It will likely be a grind in the next three months, while San Antonio plays only 7 road games in March and April for comparison.

Well I think it's good, our team needs some rest. Lebron and Battier have been playing injured, and Wade always has an injury.

Teams rarely get a 3 day break. A 4 day break is like once in a blue moon. A 5 day break is unheard of. Benefits of being the champs I guess.

We have a ridiculously brutal April

our schedule is pretty weird for the next few games in january...

1/23 heat vs raptors
1/25 heat vs pistons
1/27 heat @ celtics
1/30 heat @ nets

after we play the nets in brooklyn we go onto play @ indiana & @toronto so basically we're going on a 4 game road trip from 1/23 - 2/4...

they need ample time to prepare for the raptors.
