Wasn't it great to see Eddie and Brian during the Pistons game. It brought back some great memories for me. They seem like two genuine nice guys who enjoyed their time at the Heat and specifically the 2003/04 season.
I never understood the hate that EJ got towards the end of his time here from posters on this board. Both of them went out and did their best every night.
So probably for the last time here's a REALGM Heat thread for the two of them and any memories you want to add.

I admire Grant; he's a class act. Should have been a all-star over Mason.

Awesome Moment for me. It was during that era that I really began to understand the game of Basketball. And with the Heat being my love, I fell in love with Eddie Jones and Brian Grant. And though Anthony Mason was with us for only 1 year, I will always remember him being apart of that group.
I remember as a little kid, using up all the ink in our printer, printing up regular pictures you get on google and taping them to my wall. Good times.
Prayers go out to BG though. Parkisons.

Yea was very nice to see them, although a bit sad to see Grant. Im not sure all organizations do as good a job honoring past players like we do..it's great.

EJ got hate because people had expectations of him being a franchise player when he wasn't one. It wasn't just on the board, locally he was a very polarizing player as well. Some less than impressive playoff performances added to the frustation as well. Personally, I'll always have fond memories of him and a warrior like Grant.
I didn't know Grant had Parkinson's until the game. That's a real bummer

It was certainly a cool moment.
First Heat team I got to watch was the 03-04 team

DWade
UD
Lamar Odom
Caron Butler
Eddie Jones
Brian Grant
Fun team to watch. Will never forget that playoff series against the Hornets with Wade hitting that game winner.

It was good seeing EJ also, too bad LeBron has #6 lol I was hoping they would retire EJ's #6 but I can see how he got alot of hate at the end of his Heat run. It was the year shaq was traded to miami. Jones did well in the first 2 rounds of the playoffs from what I remember but in the conference finals he was a no show. This was the knock on him even in his laker days. Great regular season player, but when playoffs came around he would disappear. I think the heat would have won that game 7 vs the pistons if jones showed up, he didn't even look like he wanted to shoot the ball
