Can Bosh get some love? Some stats this week...

Post#1 » by DieHardBallFan » Fri Feb 15, 2013 7:36 am

20/12/2/3 - 10 -14 FG
32/11/2 - 13-16 FG - 6-6 ft
28/5 - 12-19 FG - 3-3 ft

He played 4 games this week. 3 amazing games, huge reason for the Heats streak. Not to mention the comments towards his rebounding 2 weeks ago. Just an all around player. So efficient.

People have questioned him even making the allstar game. If you listen to announcers the last few weeks and they talk about best / top at positions Bosh never even makes top 3 at center OR 4 spot.. THis includes Steve Kerr and Reggie Miller. The two times Heat faced Portland both of them just couldn't stop praising Lamarcus Aldridge. Both times Bosh completely **** on him in every way. Still no love. The guy is easily one of the most under appreciated players this year. Definitely underrated. ALL this while being the 3rd option behind 2 of the best players in the world.

Bosh is cream, he's on fire with his jumper right now and is moving within the offense probably the best I've seen him move for a long time. Had a few nice transition plays last game too.

Also, Is it just me or has this dude reinvented his shot-blocking. He was a terrible rim protector in his first two years here, now when I watch games he gets a few nice blocks every now and then. Good stuff and much needed.

Goto give it to him, guy heard the criticism and stepped up in a huge way. We're also using him better, getting him opportunities in the paint, and he's just playing better and HARDER. Love it.

Bosh was playing like ass a little earlier in the season (remember this thread? viewtopic.php?f=20&t=1226246) but he has stepped it up big time. Sad that there were people wanting for him to be traded not too long ago.

I still think Bosh at center is a bit iffy buy hey if the entire team is gonna step up and play like they have these past 7 games then our rebounding woes won't even matter.

Bosh probably gets the least credit on this team, but constantly shuts his doubters up. I love how people call him soft, yet he's not a weak-minded pussy who folds under the first bit of criticism. I like his confidence and arrogance in his game and even in his interviews.

Bosh has been on a nice stretch since the Raptors win and he was so good last night against OKC. That was Finals Bosh there. Not only was his shooting excellent but the constant activity on the glass. Loved his game/energy last night. When he plays like that its really hard for the HEAT to lose.

You look at Bosh last night, this guy was blocking shots and flying for rebounds. He can play like this all the time if he wants to

Never doubt Bosh. He has answered every challenge we've been in from of since he came here. He is lazy but shows up when the lights are brightest and his game is an amazing fit along side Lebron. In a couple of years he will be the savviest of jump-shooting veteran bigs who only shows his A-game in the playoffs. He's been on a surge since that Battioke victory, such a fun guy.

i don't even criticize bosh, even when he plays lazy. i know how important he is to this team and when all these "trade bosh" threads were going on i just couldn't do nothing but laugh. he has had double digit rebounds in the past 3 games and he's been on a shooting tear as well as lebron in terms of fg%...

Yeah I don't think we should look at games like this and say people were wrong to criticize Bosh before when he was getting 2 or 3 rebounds a game and 10 points. Clearly if he weren't capable of these kinds of awesome games, no one would complain about his former play. I do think cries for his removal/trade were a little absurd... but anyway, Bosh decided to step up his play, and everyone should be happy that he did.

He's been playing very well just like he did in the beginning of the season. It's also nice to see him dominate that ogre called Perkins.

Its funny to me how hes putting up great numbers and no one even notices because of LeBron. Some players would be upset by this(Dwight) and want attention, yet Bosh just keeps going out there nightly doing what he needs to do to help the team win. Total team player, love it.

Admits he misses being the first option and that its taken him a while to accept not being that, but now that he has fully accepted that hes more comfortable. Yet hes never made a big scene or situation out of this.

Bosh's stats in february..

21.2 ppg
7.5 rpg
62% FG!
1 TO per game!

Anyone who says he doesn't deserve to be an allstar is out of their minds.

The thing with Bosh is that when he plays bad, he's awful. If his offense isn't there on a certain day, that's fine, I just want him to pick it up in other aspects like rebounding and defense. He's been excellent as of late, though.

Just checked his efficiency and wow, 56% for primarily a jumpshooter is ridiculous. He's shooting 57% from 16-23 feet. Unbelievable.

THink of this.

All those numbers. As a THIRD option on the second best team in the NBA. 0 plays ran for him. People just cannot appreciate that enough. Those are first option on a bad team type stats.
The fact he can put up 62% with half the shots is just so efficient.

Thing is, he could still struggle if we meet a big team and we only play him as a Center. he's been beasting lately but i still think He'll be better used if against those teams we play him next to Birdman or Joel so he could focus on scoring and rebounding and the other big could provide the physicality, hussle and rim protection we sometimes lack. It's all about being smart and adjusting to matchups.
