its not just laker fans, though mostly. But Lebron is very much hated as we all know. Any opportunity they get to discredit him they take.

Well I know that LeBron is not very popular. I think it s very saddening people use the smallest of the smallest occurences to hate on LeBron.

Coming into the season I thought the Heat would lack motivation for repeating.

It's everywhere not just on RealGm. Here in my Country, it is what's everyone buzzing about, that's how popular LeBron is. Every hater are waiting for this moment and it's understandable. Let them hate and just watch LeBron continue his Legacy.

So Laker fans are celebrating a meaningless play and you're bitching about their meaningless delusions. great thread.

it more of a critque the overreacting and name calling in the internet/social media era then anything else. I find it very disturbing how things are getting blown out of proportion nowadays and I feel a need to discuss this

LeBron is very much hated? Ever since he's come to Miami, this is by far the most popular he's ever been. He receives tons of praise, media coverage and the high amount of fans voting him into the All-Star game confirms that even the non-media/non-basketball people like him more again.
If you receive a lot of media attention, you gotta understand that positives and negatives are gonna be reported. On top of that, he's the best player in the league right now, so it's normal that every non-Heat fan wants to see him fail, that comes with the territory. Do you think the non-Bulls/non-Jordan fans enjoyed Jordan beating their teams' asses? Nowadays people praise him, but you best believe back then loved to see him fail on the rare occasions he did.
If you can't handle the negative press, then the only problem is you being soft. I personally don't give a f*** what they have to say as long as we're winning, because at the end of the day, we're still the best team with the best player, another top 5 player and another perennial all-star on our team in the league. So let them have their fun when Kobe blocks LeBron, let them have their fun when Melo lights us up. At the end of the day, we're gonna be on top of the world anyways.

I love Lebron and hate Kobe stans. I think from lebron's second year on he's been better than Kobe's ever been. Kobe is overrated as hell, BUT, Kobe WANTED to guard Lebron, did it and totally grown man owned him with two blocks. Couple that with last year when Lebron stepped down from Kobe's challenge and you can't deny Kobe has humiliated him these last two ASGs. Doesnt mean Kobe's better.

But why wait for all star game to d lebron, wanna know why his guard is down and he out there trying to enjoy himself. He can't do it alone there was two better athletes right with Kobe helping on lebron and Kobe came weak side block from behind. Lebron knows his the best , why engaged when you know you not the one who's thristy as hell for recognition

Big deal, it's an ASG where everyone is playing for the MVP and barely anyone is actually trying out there. Only one's that are actually trying is Kobe and Joakim. Oh and Durant was blatantly going for MVP, he didn't even pass the ball once.

Laker fans need to hark moral victories to compensate for their lack of actual victories. It's cool though, they can have it.

It's pent up stuff. Been many months with people not having an excuse to attack Lebron. It's temporary delirium. They'll look back and wonder wtf was wrong with themselves for getting this hyped over block in an exhibition game lol.

Kobe going all out in the last few mins of the game is no different than him holding a shoot around after the Heat whooped them. It's a "pay attention to me too" moment. Lebron doesn't really fall for it because that stuff isn't important to him. It's why he plays the way he plays and others don't.

Who cares? At the end of the year ain't nobody going to care about some BS all-star game. If this happened in the finals, maybe yeah. But somehow I don't think that will happen for numerous reasons.
