Would you rather be the Knicks? Or the Lakers? Or the bucks?
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders

Huh? what kind of question is that?

obviously not...but it will be tough to read topics if we were to lose. Not that I expect that to happen.

Actually it's a fair question...I don't think there has been a team as heavily favourited to win a title at this point of the season since the 96 Bulls.

Or last years Heat, or the year before.

No it's not a fair question, because let me tell you with or without a win streak if the HEAT were to lose this year you'll see stories of a " one and done" team. Why can't people stop turning everything positive into something negative with this team?

Ive seen people imply HCA being a "bad thing" and now this? ...lol come on man

tough room,....

Delete then if you think it's stupid.Only made it because of the huge expection and how everybody thinks we are a lock for the title. So wanted to get the views on the impression on if we fail. Wasn't trying to be negative here folks.

I apologise if this thread came off in a bad light.

If the heavy favorite fails to win the title, you're gonna get laughed at regardless, winning streak or not. If we don't win it all, I don't give a flying s*** about what others say because I'd be too mad at our team for not coming through. People are so soft in here. Enjoy the streak without worrying somebody might throw it in your face. Of course they will, but who gives a f***? Life goes on, you can't control what these guys do on the court, you can just root for them and enjoy it when things are going well.

Pointless thread like the others stated. But yes, we would be. But no, we won't be.

I feel like the first year they came together and lost, man was a bad to be a Heat fan at that time.

We were called everything from chokers, not clutch, crybabies (that cry gate crap), and whatnot.

Then 2012 came, shut everyone up and won, including LeBron becoming MVP, and gaining everyone's (well most) respect once again.

This year... I think if we lose, it wouldn't be as bad as the 1st year we lost. This winning streak actually does put more pressure on us to win it all, since there's no excuse. The whole East is also banged up, but there are some scary teams in the West. I hope OKC comes out of the West lol, or else we will be in trouble.

We wouldn't be the "laughing stock". We're 1st seed, best record in the NBA, MVP, etc etc. Now it would be a huge UPSET, but not laughing stock.

Now if we didn't win anything since they came together and was like... the 4th seed all 3 years, that would have been a huge failure.

I mean the Knicks last year was laughed at being knocked out in the 1st round, having 3 players be heavily paid. They were expected to atleast give people a run for their money. This year they would definitely be laughed at even more if they are knocked out in the 1st, or even 2nd. The Lakers also if they are knocked out in the 1st round (them being the 8th seed is bad enough), despite getting DWIGHT HOWARD AND STEVE NASH, now THAT'S a laughing stock.

Why would we be in trouble if another team comes out of the West? Unless your lol also applies to the "we will be in trouble" and it's meant to be slightly sarcastic, I don't understand your problem. We've beaten every team in the league at least once and while we've only beaten San Antonio without their Big Three, I don't see why we'd be in trouble if they were to make the Finals. We're the best team in the league for a reason, so let's start acting like it. Every team that was believed to have our number has lost to us, so I'm probably as confident as I've ever been as a Heat fan in winning a title.

And of course would we be a laughing stock if we don't win it all, just because of the aforementioned fact, let alone LeBron's "promise" to win several championships. It'll always be held against us, but that's something you just gotta live with. After 10/11, the outside world's perception of the Heat has bothered me less than ever before.

I'll answer the question.........Yes it will be a colossal failure and we will get reamed constantly and even if we win another title this will haunt us forever and frankly I don't want to hear constant stories about this or sports documentaries......So we need to destroy EVERYTHING, streak, championship and everything else

Laughing stock why?

Nothing could have been worse than if we had lost last year.

Just enjoy these big 3 years and stop letting what people say distract you.

I agree with this somewhat. People need to seriously learn to stop giving a **** what other fans think. People will say whatever they want to accomplish their goals. For many fans, that is to tear down every other franchise but their own. For others, it is to tear down only those who seem to have such a potential for greatness that it threatens them. I honestly don't care what they think, they're fickle anyway and will change constantly to suit their needs.
