Mike Miller should *not* see the court, period.

Post#1 » by edgarza » Mon Mar 25, 2013 6:21 pm

The guy is 3 for his last 26. Yes you read that correctly. 3-26 shooting, an incomprehensibly bad 11%. But it gets worse. He is an awful defender. Yesterday the Bobcats were scoring at will when he was in the game, and every time he sat, they were shut down. In fact Miami was -6 when Miller played, an amazing feat considering we won by 32!

Nothing personal against Miller, but every time he steps on the court he looks like he just walked out of back surgery. Why is he playing??? It's painful to watch and I just don't get the logic of starting a guy who has done absolutely nothing on either end of the court to merit any playing time at all.

I didn't get to see the last game but from the limited minutes I have seen Mike play he has not looked good. However, he is the type of player (really just shooter at this point) that can get hot and make an impact in a playoff game ala game 5 of the finals. But with Ray Allen and a generally healthy Wade he is probably redundant at this point. We'll see come playoff time though if he has value.

I agree, he's very much done at this point. ESPECIALLY at the 2 spot, I mean that's just a complete slaughter whenever Spo puts him there. We have so many shooters that it's not even really worth it to put him in for a few minutes to see if he's hot.

I like Mike as a person, but it's over.

I've never wanted to punch someone in the face so badly. Really hoping to run into him at a game one day. I won't hesitate.

Exactly. With Ray Allen (who is an even better shooter and far better defender) why even bother with the ailing Miller? We will all always love Miller for his Game 5, but it just gets old seeing him grimace every second he's on the court.

I don't get the need for this thread...Miller barely plays unless someone is injured. Before this game, his prior games have been almost entirely garbage time...45 seconds here, 2 minutes there, etc. It's not like he's in the rotation.

He subbed for Wade because someone had to fill the majority of those 35 minutes that Wade usually gets, and that means either Miller or JJ gets more extended run. Miller makes a little more sense because he does a lot more things that Wade does -- handle the ball, rebound -- that JJ doesn't do as well. Overall, it doesn't matter though, as neither Miller nor JJ will be playing meaningful minutes in the playoffs unless someone gets hurt.
