"27"

Man what an incredible streak to witness man for real. I'm going to look back at this streak years from now and say how I've witnessed the second greatest streak in NBA history. I didn't get the chance to watch the 71-72 Lakers streak but hats off to them. I loved this streak because basically this team needed some serious motivation at the start of the season because coming off a championship and then having to be focused for a 80+ game season is very hard. It's kind of like the Heat were saying "Are we there yet?" after each loss.

This streak had a lot of highlights to remember. We saw LeBron make a NBA record of his own in this streak by shooting around 60% which has never been done before in NBA history. We saw D-Wade go back to his normal form and his effort level was ridiculous in the streak. Wade was criticized by a lot of people (including me after the loss to Boston) but he shut the naysayers up real quick and has even played at a MVP level. Watching him play at a high level always satisfy's me the most because he's done so much for this franchise and stuck with it through good times and bad times. Another highlight of the streak had to be so many 3pt weapons on this team finally knocking down shots from Battier, Allen, Lewis & Big Game Rio...

But through all of that the best thing about the streak was the chemistry & togetherness that we saw between this Heat team. Classic Bosh & LeBron video bombs, Wade trying to show off his interviewing skills but most of all it had to be this..

But now it's time to focus on the big picture and that's the playoffs (which just so happen to be my favorite time of the year). This team came together for one common goal and that's to win multiple championships. But for now thanks to this Miami Heat organization for giving us Heat fans something to enjoy & talk about until the post-season begins...

Easily the most memorable season IMO.

Finishing it off with the back to back title will make it even sweeter.

Great post, dreamchaser. Even though I never thought we played great consistently through the streak, we found ways to win. Let's hope it's one of the few things the Heat carry with them for the rest of the season (leave the slow starts and sloppy play behind).

+1. Too many people are getting caught up in the loss, which is understandable because they were so close to the record. Like somebody said in the game-thread, people are spoiled by this team. They have lost 1 game since the Superbowl 2 months ago. 27 consecutive wins is an accomplishment in itself, regardless of whether they broke the record.

The goal is a championship, not 33 straight, but still, the loss is fresh just hours ago and I have a right to be pissed that the referees and the mafia rigged that game against us to make a lot of money.

I'll be kumbaya hakuna matata and all that later.

LOL idk man. I feel bad about any loss but I don't feel bad about this one. The lazy gameplay was meant to catch up with us at some point. Credit to the Bulls, they played a hell of a game. The fact is, whether they called a foul here or there that they should have called, you don't expect the Bulls players to not take advantage of it. They aren't supposed to tell the refs to call a foul on their own teammate.

But the main point is, we DID NOT lose because of the fouls. We lost because we made too many mistakes in this game. I mean, 9 first half turnovers? Plus the rebounding. How hard is it for Bosh to box out Boozer? There are a lot of other reasons why we lost. Not the refs. Please.

It's been 41 years since a team won more games in a row than this. This number of 27 wins may not be surpassed in any of our lifetimes.

We are all witnesses to one of the greatest winning streaks of all time. It was a fun ride.

I'm happy people are not going nuts about this. It was cool but it was never a priority when a championship is on the horizon.

Came out of nowhere. First it was about getting a double-digit streak, then it was about 14, then it was seeing if we could get to 20, then the record was the next thing up. Best attempt in 40 years.

It's still crazy that after such a long run, we're still closer to 3rd than the record. That's how impressive 33 in a row is. I think we all got a much greater appreciation for that record now too. I certainly did. I think it must have been an immense show of will to stay that consistent for that long.

Much bigger things await this team this season. We're hanging banner 3. PEACE.
