Terrible Windhorst Column

Post#1 » by seminoles1993 » Sat Mar 30, 2013 4:02 pm

http://espn.go.com/nba/truehoop/miamiheat/story/_/id/9114608/nba-pat-riley-feud-danny-ainge-show-loyalty-lebron-james
These are a few phrases from the article.

"Now this, Riley lowering the boom on Ainge, complete with unneeded profanity, for what was generally an innocuous comment on a local radio show"

"Truth is, Wade had gotten away with several borderline fouls over the last two seasons and the league got fed up with it and finally suspended him after he kicked Sessions. Furthermore, those Bulls fouls on James Wednesday were not dirty and definitely were not flagrant."

"James was just frustrated at the way the game had gone and that the winning streak he'd invested so much in was gone. So he slipped into one of his few bad habits, which is to pout."

"The merits of these defenses don't matter to Riley as much as the mission does. That mission is to keep Wade and James motivated in the short term and to keep James committed in the long term."

Again, I ask, why is fat Bastard actually called a Heat Beat Writer? This guy is like a spy who thrives when there's negativity surrounding the team. We all know he's a Cavs fan and as that, he's still bitter.

I put the last quote there because this guy seems to thinks this season is all about where Lebron will go. He's twisting the quotes of Riley into a ploy by Riley to keep lebron in 2014. But what he doesn't know is, Heat are the best organization in the League. They are a family and they defend each other, but fat bastard seems to think its all about Lebron's free agency again, which is how he landed a job on ESPN.

I wish LeBron would get a restraining order against this fat pig. Pathetic how his career is a product of LeBron. Riley should ship his fat a** back to Cleveland

The fat f*** doesn't understand that Miami isn't Cleveland. We don't have to suck up to our stars to keep them. Riley was simply tired of Celtics employees running their mouths all the time, so he chose to shut them up. LeBron or no LeBron, he would've done it either way because he can. This has nothing to do with showing loyalty to LeBron. That's something Windhorst might have to do to keep his job, but not Patrick James Riley, who just creates winning teams and a winning atmosphere to make the Heat an attractive destination.

Windhorst is a fat piece of crap that has no relationship what so ever with Lebron, all he's been is Lebron's stalker. He's a try hard, trying to be Howard Cossell for Lebron, yet Lebron really doesn't give two **** about this reject. He actually wants that guy to stop following him around.

There is a thread on GB about this. The person who made the thread called Windhorst a "Heat beat writer".

Many people including myself tried to tell him HE IS NOT A HEAT BEAT WRITER, but he doesn't know what a "beat writer" is apparently.

Or that fact that Windhorst was a Cavs beat writer. I don't know any Miami Heat fan that actually considers Windhorst a good source of information or writing, or even takes him seriously due to the fact that he stalked LeBron to get paid by ESPN due to his "experience" covering LeBron.

Anyway, read the article, bunch of garbage. Tweets from Tim Reynolds, Ira and Ethan are more insightful.

I mean Windhorsts whole article is his own comprehension of the situation, and quite frankly I don't care what Windhorst even thinks. Just like all the ESPN writers (except for a few).

Like someone said a while ago, if he wasn't a reporter and Lebron wasnt an athlete, Windhorst would be charged for stalking

Brother Redz aka Delonte West said it best on a tweet directed to Fatass

“Eating chicken and riding motorcycles … hope u sleep well tonight … now go write about that Brian Weinhorst … after u wrote all that bull … u [went] down to South Beach … ride the Pony Express …”
Stop being so disrespectful.

Windhorst is clearly losing hope on that LeBron back to Cleveland narrative.

The funny thing about all of this is the beat writers here have very little access to Riley or the inner workings of the Heat. It's been that way for years, but that's never stopped this clown from speculating as to the thinking of the FO. Let him write his crap. He is irrelevant as far as I'm concerned. Probably just mad they don't open the doors wide for him like they did in Cleveland.

Something tells me Windhorst isn't a beach or sunshine person. The beach for him is the inside of a Wendy's. The sunshine is the Dollar menu. I'm kinda the same way.

It's no wonder he wants Cleveland so badly. He sees everyone out and about, enjoying their lives, and it probably just makes him bitter and depressed. I can kinda relate.

He should've evolved like Lebron did when he followed him down here. Lost 100 pounds. Learned to embrace the atmosphere. Instead, he went the other way, and it's showing more and more in his articles as time goes by.

The issue with lebron is really simple to me, he feels the contact and viewers don't so they say oh it's nothing but to him it is because it hurts and it's unnecessary

For instance, lebron on fast break, seemingly tries to side step kirk, Kirk steps into his way and holds his hands down pulling him down to the ground. Imagine someone putting you in what feels like a straight jacket while you're running full speed. That play is more annoying than it would hurt lebron but again, had that been a skinnier player like durant I'm pretty sure they review that as flagrant

Remember flagrant is not about intention it's more so about unnecessary contact

So whatever kirk or Gibson meant to do doesn't matter, it's what they did and how they did it

Countless times lebron is getting hit in his head that night and many games before. Above the shoulders should always be reviewed, you simply cannot allow a player to get hit all over the head like that. It's unnecessary

Then lebron drives and Gibson reaches over his shoulders ad if to clothes line him, lebron is feeling that contact around his neck shoulders etc, and he's falling backwards awkwardly, headband out of place. That's unnecessary. Lebron falls badly it feels flagrant and he's not seeing where Gibsons eyes are looking or whether Gibson us focused in the ball or just pulling lebron down. So of course it's flagrant to lebron and Claim a play on the ball all you want but you're reaching across his neck, shoulder area to reach for the ball while hitting him in his head? Which one other player endures this and it's not a flagrant?

Refs set the standard for hard fouls, you cannot allow that as a common foul and then call a ticky tack call on the other end it's bull. And that's fat **** would never get it because he's a fat ****

And I bet you had it been kobe, durant whoever else, even melo, Rose, fans would be going crazy saying it's a flagrant but I guess lebron is too good to complain even when justified

Yeah, this Windhorst character is pathetic. His whole career is based on Lebron James, kind of like Cleveland's economy used to be.

This is why I can't stand the general board, if you look at the list of mods on there, of the most active ones as posters, 3 are Chicago Bulls fans, 2 are New York Knicks fans, and 1 is a Spurs fan who has never hid his dislike for the Miami Heat or their players. Of the Bulls/Knicks guys, only 1 of them seems kind of neutral towards the Heat (I won't use names to call anyone out, but I'm sure those who are long time posters know exactly who I'm talking about). And the 1 Heat moderator is confused half the time what is even going on :P

So you get 2 or 3 "Rose isn't coming back yet, what's wrong with him" threads, and the Bulls mods swoop in like Batman to lock down the situation. And yet you have no less than 4 threads going on the general board right now calling out LeBron's comments in some form or other, with no moderation in sight.

It doesn't really surprise me though, the same sorts of things were happening the year after we won the championship in 2006, when the GB was dominated by Lakers mods, and every day a Lakers fan would start a thread about how many free throws Wade shot that night. It is what it is.

Also, as to the subject of Windhorst, its pathetic. This guy has taken shots at Wade, Bosh, Riley, literally everyone in the Heat organization, its laughable that people consider him a Heat beat writer. He has no connections to the Heat at all. I pointed it out in the thread on the general board, there's a reason why when Riley released this statement, only Ethan, Ira and Tim were the ones to report it and not Windhorst.

Is there any way to get Windhorst to just go away? Ruins a somewhat decent 'Heat Index' on ESPN, his whole career is based off one player who doesn't even like him and he's always writing these salty columns with agendas as obvious as those of a typical GB poster.
