Raymond Felton: Chalmers is Heat's weakness

"I'm not saying that's a weak point [for the Heat] because [Mario] Chalmers has been great for Miami. He's won a championship there and he's a solid point guard," Felton said. "But I think that's one of the weaknesses of their team. Not saying that Chalmers is a bad player, because he's not. He's great. He's won a championship. A lot of point guards in this league can't say that. He has that. But if you look at LeBron, Bosh and D-Wade and then you look at Chalmers, you're like, 'OK, this is maybe where their weakness is at.'

Heat can't let opponents get into their head. A lot of teams have been talking ish lately and it''ll continue as long as we respond to them through the media.

Teams have only two chances to beat us and it has nothing to do with the game of basketball: play us physical or talk trash hoping to get into our heads.

We saw it in 2011 and we saw it again against Chicago.

Either we ignore them or we go out on the court and give them something else to talk about, like a hard foul.

With that said, I'm looking forward to seeing if Chalmers steps his game up against the Knicks.

felton can't hold rio's jock when it comes to clutch and hitting big shots. rio is all swag. Yea he **** up a lot, but he will also take the big shot when most won't or can't. I would love to knock NY out of the playoffs again, but i dont think they will get to us in the ECF. boston or indy will take them out.

If Rio plays Tuesday, he could go off. He's one guy who seems to be able to bring it in big occassions almost on demand. As a scoring PG, he's actually pretty good.

Our point guards are fine, both solid players. One is Derrick Fisher the other is Gary Payton-lite defense.

Our weakness is still Center, we can get outrebounded by big teams. Anderson kinda patched it but we still have rebounding problems against teams like the Pacers or Bulls.

This is true, but every thing in nature is relative. The gap between Felton and Carmelo and JR Smith is far smaller in my estimation then the gap between Chalmers and LeBron and Wade, but that's no credit to Felton or discredit to Chalmers, that's just an indication of the Grand Canyon-sized gulf between the abilities of the first duo and the second.
