Has any team ever had 4 players who.....

Post#1 » by BennyGfromFL » Thu Apr 25, 2013 1:55 am

Has any team ever had 4 players who shot 40%+ from three with at least 100 makes each? Battier (136 3PM/.430%), Allen (139 3PM/.419%), Chalmers (123 3PM/.409%), and James (103 3PM/.406%) all did it this year.

For reference, even with the numbers extended to 82 games, we would've had zero players accomplish this last year.

Looked up some of the likeliest of candidates and the closest I could find were the 2006-07 Suns and this year's Thunder, who each had three players hit that mark.

This, combined with the fact that Miller, Lewis, and Jones would all be capable of the same with more minutes, just goes to show how well the roster is constructed and has performed to our strengths.

We're like a well-oiled machine and a model of efficiency.

It was hard enough finding teams where 4 guys hit 100 3's, let alone with the 40%+ qualifier. I just checked the teams who came closest, might've missed a couple. Pretty positive we're the first ones to do it.

2009-2010 Orlando had Shard(40%), JJ(41%), Pietrus(38%) and VC(37%) do it.
2010-2011 Spurs had Ginobili(35%), Bonner(46%), Richard Jefferson(44%), and Gary Neal(42%).
2007-2008 Lakers had Kobe(36%), Vujacic(44%), Farmar(37%), and Fisher(41%).
2002-2003 Mavs had Van Exel(38%), Nash(41%), Finley(37%), and Dirk(38%).
