Anyone satisfied with Lebron's Playoff Performance?

Post#1 » by lecola » Thu May 16, 2013 2:09 am

It has been 9 games so far and still he hasn't had a over average game. That is by far one of the worst playoffs of his career IMO. With the way he played during the regular season, i think i have the right to demand or expect more from him.

You can claim that, there is no need he plays with the max performance but i don't think so. This passiveness can become a habit in the future rounds and again same arguements about him can arise.

I want ECF to be tough like last year and Lebron to take responsibility and be himself. If ECF is passed easily again Lebron playing average, then in the finals i expect to see really disappointing scenes like 2011.

I am not pessimistic at all but i can't stop thinking that way. Maybe i am overreacting and exaggerating.

we had 2 easy first rounds..
not much was required from him.

7 out of 8 games we won were by double digits. when the need arise, he will put a 40 point game.

but we are winning as a team..everyone has his numbers and stats hurt. includes bosh lebron wade etc

The Heat are 8-1

LeBron hasn't been pushed the limit to throw up a game 6 boston if that's what you are expecting.

It's BETTER if he gets the entire team going and averages 25-8-7

I'm not satisfied with Lebron the individual. However, the Heat have still be able to win despite of that. There is no chance the Heat would have won last year with Lebron playing like this and the Cavs would have had no shot at all with him playing like this.

It kind of reminds me of the 2010 playoffs against the Celtics. The only difference is that Lebron's teammates are finally good enough to pick up the slack and also the win.

Lebron's 2012 playoffs was way better and that run was actually legendary since he didn't even have a single bad game.

I laugh at people who think LeBron should be putting up 30/10/10 every single game of the playoffs. If we're winning then as long as LeBron is helping the team and not being a Carmelo jacking up rubbish then he's playing well. To restate what's been said. 8-1, I can guarantee that's all LeBron is looking at as well.

LeBron has been fine for the most part. Doesn't really need to force anything, but there are some games where he's went 2011 Finals passive mode, which is not good.

ECF and Finals will be our biggest test. He'll up his game then

This thread is really unnecessary though...

4-1 against Bucks
4-1 against Bulls

If you look at it from the big picture, yeah we are 8-1 in the post season.

LeBron I have noticed has been more passive than usual, but we still win games. I know his passiveness would be pointed out if we lost more, but it isn't.

It might have to be that we're use to what LeBron did last year, but Bosh was out he had to pick up the slack.

LeBron has been the center point of another team's defense, he has it harder than anyone out there. Sometimes I think we expect a bit too much. A bad game for LeBron is a good game for most of the players in this league lol.

I'm just glad LeBron can affect the game in other aspects besides scoring.

We don't need LeBron right now to drop 40 on anyone, this isn't 2012. If anything I'm disappointed in Ray, Shane and Mario right now.

Critique LeBron in the ECF and Finals if we get there (which I think we will).

Lebron has been the best player for a team who is 8-1. Maybe not the best playoff performer but you can't really complain right now...Come on man lol he's done his job. However, as the competition progresses I do expect him to elevate his game even more.

Winning changes everything. If the Heat won the 2011 Finals despite Lebron's horrible play, the media would find a way to credit him. They would just say that people should credit Lebron for adjusting and willing to defer to his teammates.

All you have to do is win and the credit will go your way even if it's undeserving.

Cut the OP some slack. I see people quoting 8-1 but beating the bucks and a seriously depleted bulls team is nothing to beat your chest over since we are talking about the defending champs after all. The thing i agree with op on is the habits. When was the last time he went into the post? He looks shook down there. The defenses are only going to get better from here on out and what happens if his jumper leaves him for a stretch like we've seen in our past two playoff runs? Will he be confident enough to go down into the post? Even last year when he didn't play well, you still saw him building habits with his post work but these playoffs all i see is either a jumper or a drive. What happens when a team like Indiana closes the paint and dares him to hit jumpers during a stretch where his jumper is off? Lets face it, the post is what took him to the next level last year and for some reason this year, he seems to have abandoned it because he probably feels he mastered it which couldn't be further from the truth.
