This guy has the ballz to call out heat fans when the pacers have the worst home crowd in the NBA. Their attendance was garbage all season.

People always find a way to rip our fans, but the PACERS announcer? Laughable. The tickets are expensive, obviously the real fans would not be there.

Pacers crowd is worse, give me a break. Atleast we are up there in attendance unlike them. Pacers are 25th and having their best season

Pacers announced attendance for home games was 84% of their arena's capacity this season, 3rd-worst of any playoff team. Miami's was 102%.

This cracks me up, I dont get why its getting any attention at all. Look this dude is just butthurt he has to go to back to Indiana and live in the middle of no where while all the fans here get to go to the beach and live year round in a tropical paradise.

The funny thing to me is that the hatred has gotten to a point where facts dont matter(although its been this way for a while now), haters can just spue things that arent true and people just run with it. It seems not only in terms of sports but our society in general has lost interest in facts and what they mean. A man who is a radio announcer for the 24th worst team in attendance cannot say anything about Miami fans at all.

Funny how he got basically a free pass and a lot of the media sided with him, yet if Michael Iglesias said something like "wow it only took Indiana 3 rounds in the playoffs for their fans to finally show up" the media would roast him for it. I'm just glad as an organization that they never fight back and just sit back and let it happen. Now if only their playing would shut them up, I'd deeply appreciate that.

What stood out most to me was the fact that the guy who said it isn't apologetic at all. He could easily have said that he got caught up in the heat of the moment(though it would have been over the line even then) and moved on. Instead, he's thanking everybody kissing his ass on Twitter and only responding to the "haters" who are just telling him to F off. There's a real lack of self awareness here where a commentator of a team with pathetic fan support and one of the highest chances to get moved talks about another city not deserving a team.

Reading the guy's Twitter feed, you'd think he posts on here.

Well I just started reading this place (RealGM) a couple days ago and signed up yesterday, and even though I'm a Pacers fan it looks like my first post will be here.

Let me start off by saying I've had some interaction with Mark Boyle. He's an arrogant, egotistical pain in the ass. He's pretty much never wrong (ha!) and will never apologize for his stance on something.

That said, I think you guys are missing the point of what he said. I mean what you're doing is arguing the wrong point completely. It's like if you said my girlfriend is ugly, and my immediate reaction is "oh yeah, well yours is a gold digger!". Meh, if your girlfriend is a gold digger, it still has nothing to do with what you said and doesn't disprove the point.

Mark's comments weren't about attendance. Which I'm pretty sure I recall him ripping the fans here for this year so if you're trying to make him out to be a hypocrite, you're missing some of the information. He was appalled at fans leaving a game that's only a one possession game with time on the clock. If Indiana fans have ever done that, I've clearly missed it.

I was pretty shocked at how much offense you guys took at this. I would be embarrassed if a fan base of my team did something similar. One possession game ..... time on the clock. Why would anyone leave at that point? That said, this is an instance where Mark should have kept his mouth shut, but this is who he is. If he feels something he's going to blurt it out. It's part of the reason he and I have butted heads over the years.

This is funny considering Indy pays 10 million a year to the Pacers so they don't leave. Indy as a great history and a GREAT team and yet they couldn't sell out any games...

Indy pays for the building maintenance for Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

Miami pays for the building maintenance on AAA.

Indy is actually paying over 11 million a year to keep the Pacers, a team that was 24th in attendance. Miami pays the Heat 10 million for a team thats been in 5 straight playoff apperances, back to back Finals, an current NBA Champion, etc.

lol let's see how many Pacers fans show up today with the Indy 500 around.
