I am trying not to overreact, but I feel like G3 is extremely important, and it might decide the fate of the series.
Statistics say the same, since about 90% of teams who were the first to win 2 in a row in a series went on to win the series. A G3 win would make Indiana the first team to win 2 in a row in this series, so statistically they'd have 90% chances of going to the finals.
Statistics aside, I have been worried about the Pacers (and the Grizzlies) even before the playoffs, even during the 27 game winning streak. The problem is, the Heat are living and dying by the 3, and recently the 3's haven't been falling. Ray Allen and Battier (especially Battier) have been throwing up bricks after bricks, and Spoelstra didn't play Miller enough to see if he can get hot and hit a few in a row.
If the 3's aren't falling tonight, I see a big L coming.
Offensively, I liked G2 more than G1, especially in regards to Lebron. He's been posting up a bit (which he didn't do at all in G1), but I think he needs to do it more. But I still saw him playing like in Cleveland, where he'd have the ball near midcourt and just look to create something off the dribble, instead of having some motion in the offense and moving the ball.
I wonder where the Heat's offense has gone. You know, the nice offense that moved the ball and had cuts and screens all over the place. Now it's more P&R and ISO's, which is part of why the Heat lost in 2011. That offense is lovely during the regular season, but it ain't worth **** if it can't or won't be used during the playoffs.
And again - it can't be stated enough - Battier and Ray Allen need to hit their open 3's. I don't care if they need to make a pact with the devil and sell their souls or if they need to come early to the arena and put up 500 shots.
Fewer missed FT's would be nice, too.

It's very important. I placed alot of importance on game 2, now that we lost that. Game 3 is a must win.

on a 1-1
Game 3 is a HUGE win to take - shifts a lot of momentum in the winning team.

If the Heat can take either Game 3 or 4, they'll be in good shape. It's about taking HCA back, since the Heat lost it in Game 2.
