It's as simple as this...Wade and Bosh has got to show up

Post#1 » by coolnerd88 » Wed May 29, 2013 12:33 pm

That of course is the theme every game. The analysts, the fans, heck probably Riley behind close doors

We will probably win the next two games but against San Antonio, they have got to show up EVERY GAME.

The ONE game all the big 3 show up, the Pacers get demolished. Bosh is suffering from that 3rd option plague or maybe he's never been this guy except for a few times and I know Wade's knee is hurt but that is not an excuse I or this fanbase want to hear right now.

Wade needs to take his butt back to Tim Grover in the offseason IMMEDIATELY and get back right but as for the REST OF THE PLAYOFF series....HE HAS GOT TO GET IT TOGETHER.

Every single time we're struggling it's because one of these guys can't get it together, heck in 2011 it cost us a title because Lebron couldn't get it together, now Lebron has his ish together consistently and we can't count on these two smh

I'm not bashing him because it will always be WadeCounty in my eyes for what he did for this franchise but eff all that right now, he needs to get his act together immediately because him and Bosh are pissing me off. Get it together not just ONE GAME FOR THE REST OF THESE PLAYOFFS!!!

No it's more simple than that even.

Wade has to attack the basket.

I'm sure we'll be fine. But if by some crazy fluke we ended up losing this series--one of Wade/Bosh will get traded this summer. Which would probably be the beginning of the end of this team's window. As Stephen A Smith would say "it's over".

But I think we'll be fine. This team always makes things more difficult than it needs to be.

Even if we win though, Riley might take a serious look at Wade's future with the team. I don't know that Wade or the Heat are being served by how he is playing the last two years. He can give more in a larger role--but his injuries are keeping him from being the kind of all around efficient player he needs to be to be Lebron's number 2. He's not that great in that role. I think Bosh would actually thrive in Wade's role next to Lebron though, weirdly.

I mean, if we traded Wade, I guarantee he'd go back to the player he used to be. A lot of his problems are touches/rhythm oriented, as much as it is his health. He's not in the flow of a lot of these games.

It will be interesting, because I think if we lose--the national media will go back to Lebron is a choker who can't win. But the local coverage will be that Wade or Bosh need to go, and Spo needs to be fired.

But we're a long way from that point.

Remember last year we were in an elimination game 6 AT Boston. Won that, and then a game 6. We were down 2-1 to this same Pacers team without Bosh.

we've faced worse odds than being tied 2-2 with two of three at home.

Don't be shocked by the way if we go down 3-2 and people start **** themselves. The way these games are being officiated they are limiting the effectiveness of our big three, while making their main guys extremely effective. And I don't expect that will change.

The "Big 3" is down to "1 3/4". This team is slowly turning into the Cavs of 4 years ago.

Bosh is a bad matchup vs the Pacers. Theres no other way to put it. Hes not going to outmuscle them, outrebound them, outhustle them. Its not his thing.

Wade is old. He is not elite anymore. This is the new normal for Wade.

no it's not.

How is it not? LeBron is carrying this team on both ends of the floor. How is this team different than those Cavs teams? The only difference I see is that LeBron found a way to raise his game above superhuman.

Bosh can do whatever he wants to do. He needs to pick up his intensity from game to game. He can sure as hell out-rebound David West. He always has. West is hardly a great rebounder.

Bosh is playing Hibbert not West. Ideally i dont understand why we dont put Joel in for a few more mins. Joel/Bird Man/UD on Hibbert and let Bosh do his thing against West.

It's not a matter of a direct matchups. Even guys facing Dennis Rodman used to grab rebounds. Every game there are ~ 80 rebs to be had ... and it's mostly a matter of who wants them more. People just make lame excuses to cover for Chris Bosh not playing with intensity. Bosh's rebounding is at a career low this season. Even lower than his rookie season. And it has gotten worse every season since he got to Miami.

"No rebounds, no rings!"

Agree. People see "Wade" and number 3 and assume we have Wade from 2 years ago. Bottom line.. He is not even close. We all luv wade but he plays sloppy, inconsistent and is getting 14 a game! Your second best player can't average 14 in the playoffs! I don't care what anyone says, as of now no one is giving Lebron consistent help... Sure, wade can explode and have a more "wade of old game" at any moment, but the fact is, we are more likely to get the new version of wade sadly. Ray and Battier are what? 11-41??? Birdman is are second best player this series.

Its not over reacting. It's watching the games and seeing what's going on. This series, as of now.. It's been Lebron carrying dead weight. It can all change tomorrow.. Which I feel it will, then we close out in game 6. Just sucks spurs getting so much rest

ima say this Bosh can play down low and get rebounds and putbacks if you want him to, Bosh can stay up high and shoot jumpers what he cant do is both. Also for him to be successful down low the whistles have to be fair both ways. Either call crap for everyone or dont call for everyone. Bosh is sticking with the gameplan and we are blaming him? smh

Wade and the entire offense need to move more without the ball especially when Lebron has it. And we need to pick up the pace. Remember that chicago game before the playoffs?? I have a feeling we will see Lebron driving and yelling "And 1" Loudly and often. In fact the whole team should yell "And 1" whenever one of our guys gets fouled.

Talk about overreacting to Wade's injury based struggles. Despite a surgery related rocky start to the season, he averaged 21.9 points, 5.0 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 1.9 steals and 0.8 blocks on 52.1% shooting (as a 6'4 guard) in just 34.7 minutes per game. Other than Russell Westbrook and maybe to a lesser degree Blake Griffin, you won't find a second option with that kind of productivity. When we had our historic streak, it was Wade's improved play that gave us the decisive edge over everybody. The problem is, this streak might've cost him the playoffs. As somebody else pointed out, the smart decision would've been to not allow Wade to play through the initial bone bruise and it probably would've been a matter of 2 or 3 weeks until he's fully healthy again. By re-injuring it and adding additional bruises, he made matters worse to the point where the rest will have to be several months.
It's unfortunate that he suffered this injury at the worst possible time, especially after the structural damage he had last year (and still managed to come up huge when it mattered the most).

We've won a championship, won a franchise record 66 games and are back to the Eastern Conference Finals with a great chance to make the Finals for a third straight year in a row. There's not a chance in hell we should look to break up the Big Three because our star power is still what makes us the best team in this league. This fanbase has just become spoiled and some seem to have forgotten what actual struggles look like. Look at how many people wrote the Spurs off the past two years and claimed they should just blow it up because Ginobili can't stay healthy, Duncan is declining and Parker can't carry them alone. Now they're back in the Finals and everybody looks stupid.

This. ^

At this point wade is barely in the top 10 maybe 15 as a #2 sidekick in the NBA from a purely statistical standpoint. :(

So you're using his current playoff numbers to say he's not even in the top 15 sidekicks in the league.

You do know that there are only THREE "sidekicks left in the playoffs don't you?

We're there. He's there. Surely he couldn't be worse than no.3 using your criteria.
