Ray Allen : Double agent for Celtics all along? lol

Post#1 » by Grumpy Heat Fan » Mon Jun 3, 2013 9:30 pm

People close to Ray Allen claiming he is thinking about opting out of his contract hoping to return to Boston for 1 year & retire a celtic.
— NBA on NBC Boston (@NBAonNBCBoston) June 3, 2013

He wanted a bigger role when he went to Miami last summer, but he's been relegated to just shooting threes in the ECF and struggled.

I wouldn't be surprised...

Makes me want Ray to have less minutes for this team even more. I miss Miller on the court, he is what we need right now. But he's buried on the bench because of Ray. Ray isn't even doing his job and sucks defensively.

Lol he came here just to get a ring, then bolt off. Again I wouldn't be surprised.

Man I love Ray Allen... but their is no denying that he's been delusional if he thinks he's going to get a bigger role... Like seriously? When he dribbles the ball more then 3 seconds It irks me! Turnover ready to happen or a bad pass.

He is pretty decent driving to the basket for a lay up or two but handling the ball is a no-no.

Enough complications going on with the Bosh/Wade, we don't need this ****.

We won a championship with Mike Miller in the rotation. Even with his hobbled self, he hits 3's and rebounds and hustles. Ray can't rebound, he doesn't hustle as well, he's not 6'8 like Miller, and right now, Ray can't hit 3's.

He's hurt this team. Made us worse.

Ray Allen :

Game 6 = 2-8 Fg's
Game 5 = 2-6
Game 4 = 4-13 FG's <----- WTF
Game 3 = 2-6
Game 2 = 2-5
Game 1 = 1-8

Agreed. Miller is that guy who should come off the bench first right now. But Ray would be butthurt, he didn't come here to be a THIRD string... lol. If he's mad about that, I don't care about him going back to Boston. Miller in the limited time he has been in the ECF, proves why he is needed for this Heat team, HE ACTUALLY HITS HIS 3'S, hustles, rebounds. He was apart of that comeback in game 6 man, but RAY LEAVES PG WIDE OPEN...

If it was up to Ray Ray he'd be a starter lol

I think Miller plays tonight, can't deny him after what he showed in the 4 th quarter.

What did Ray Allen expect....... to replace LBJ or Wade in the lineup or something. I don't get it lol

Just like what LeBatard said. The critics and storylines are lurking...

If we lose these kind of stories are going to come splintering out of the wood work.

The knives are being sharpened.

He means you only here these murmurs because of losses. If we're winning these stories have no life, they never come up.

There is probably nothing to this at all, but people will believe it because we're in the middle of a tough series in the ECF instead of cruising into the Finals like was expected by some.

Part of what makes Allen an all time great is the same part that makes him a bit delusional...lol

i call bs on this story. ray has had much more of a role on this team than he did the last 2 years in boston. when hes gotten his chances though he squanders it. his role on this team is to be our primary freethrow and 3 point shooter (which he struggled to do this series)

spo also for some reason trusts him alot on defense.

i think hell have a good series vs the spurs though. i can see him having some decent stretches guarding green/ginobli

I don't buy that he's going anywhere, he can always do a 1 day contract to retire a celtic if he wanted to, but I doubt he has any loyalty to that team at all, dude was only there for what 5 years? thats nothing.

He's going to get a ring here and stay here.

Not sure how stupid you have to be buy into the double agent story. He has made it obvious he wants a team that A) respects him enough not to dangle him as trade bait, B) be able to get steady playtime, and C) good chance to win it all. If we can't offer him those things - which we may very well not be - he will either go somewhere where he does get those things or possibly retire.

Don't think Celtics are even an option in the future. He wants to win now and C's should start thinking about the future and getting younger, rather than older.
