To each their own. I mean he has a point that the Dallas series may have been tougher. I see no wrong. Media just spinning things.

He sounds bitter. Yeah you got us in 2011, but then we became back to back champs. The Mavs didn't even make the playoffs last year.

It was our team trying to give another team respect, but if Dirk wants to see that as a slight that's his issue.

I believe LeBron's shortcomings against Dallas....ultimately led to his success the last couple of years...

But seeing stuff like this and every time I'm on twitter and see this picture of Cuban..

Again..I believe that failure helped lead to the multiple championships..

But I really wish we just had the clean sweep of 3-0 in championships the last three years. Seeing Cuban with a championship p*sses me off :x

oh of course, it does suck LeBron had to lose in the Finals to get his head right, but now he has 2 rings to show for it. Could have been a 3 peat already... sometimes it sucks but it was the Mav's time IMO. Dirk played well and so did Terry. Our supporting cast was the worse too, it was amazing we even got to the Finals that year with that cast. THREE guys got us to the Finals, one of them didn't show up and that's what happens lol.

dallas beat us,but that team was nowhere near as good as ones we won with. ray allen, shane battier were huge difference makers.norris cole as well

Dirk needs to shut his mouth. You beat our worst Big 3 era team. Congrats, this Spurs team would have swept you in 2011 and probably whooped us too.

Dirk is entirely too ugly to have an opinion on anything.

He wants credit from us, which he got, but all those Mavs did was cry about the refs after the series. Get the f*** outta here Dirk.

As much as I dislike Dirk, he has a right. He was unbelievable in 2011 and hit some clutch shots. I truly believe Lebron will challenge the GOAT status before he retires, but Drik will always have the 2011 finals on him. I hate it, but it is what it is.

Who cares, and in hindsight he is probably right losing against those Mavs was probably thougher, but it´s not like anyone is going to wallow in bad memories in the moment of glory.

Lebron had to be broken one last time before he could finally rise.

I found nothing wrong with his comments. People aren't required to like the Heat. He was upset we took away his first chance at a chip, and he feels strongly about how his team beat the Heat.

Overall, if we had the team we had this year vs. the Mavs then, we'd have won that series too. It was a necessary evil as it made our big 3 and front office realize that we needed to do more.

I wonder if Dirk ever returned his checks to Cuban after openly admitting being unmotivated and purposely out of shape after winning a championship.

There's no problem here with people hating us and also no problem with giving Dallas credit for 2011, but the dude and his teammates were whining after the '06 Finals and now demand more respect. We gave them credit in 2011, but it's just as legit for us to say that San Antonio was the toughest challenge for us. The dude is just too damn sensitive about us.

I also feel like the Mavericks were sore about the media and all the attention being more about our failure instead of their victory. The media and world didn't care who took us down as long as it was somebody. They were an after thought and Wade's comments probably made him feel like they were being overlooked again... lol good on Wade

We started Mike "the turd" Bibby and Joel Anthony against Dallas every game but the last one - Chalmers took over Bibby's starting spot.

Juwan Howard was our 3rd and last man off the bench, along with Miller and UD, both of whom were injured the majority of the season.

This year it took a miracle in Game 6 and then a fight until the last minute in Game 7 to beat the Spurs despite this being by far the most talented Heat team in the Big-3 era.

Yup, Spurs were the best/toughest team we have played. This Spurs team might have swept our 2011 team.

We played crappy against the Mavs. They never got our best shot. The Spurs it was like two titans just exchanging knockout punches back and forth. One of the all-time great NBA finals. That's one of those that after you're like "ain't gonna be no rematch!"

As close to a tie as I've ever seen an NBA finals.

It still stinks remembering hiw we were smoking hot against two strong teams in Chicago and Boston, then just blew it while we were up in the series against Dallas. If Bron plays anywhere close to the level of the previous series we smoke Dallas too.
