Ray Allen back (still on discount)
Barry Jackson @flasportsbuzz 2m
Ray Allen has exercised Heat player option for next season, his agent just said.
Barry Jackson @flasportsbuzz 1m
So Allen will make $3.2 million. If he opted out, he could have made as much as $3.7 million from Heat. Heat is thrilled.

That's great to hear:) This team is really special, and has room to improve.
Follow this up with Oden and Andersen and I'm a happy Heat fan.

Re: Ray Allen back (still on discount)
Great news, I wonder if Anderson is willing to play for the minimum so we can use our mini mle in free agency..

Re: Ray Allen back (still on discount)
That is nice of him to not opt out and back in to get more money. He saved our season, he could have done that.
Awesome!
If Anderson comes for the vet min, nothing else matters man. And we could actually use our MMLE if he does take the vet min.
We better not use the MMLE on Oden, that's bull. He doesn't deserve that.

@IraHeatBeat
Ray Allen agent Jim Tanner confirms to Sun Sentinel that Allen has opted in for next season, the last year on his deal, calls for $3.2M.

Re: Ray Allen back (still on discount)
The savior is back!
I knew he would come back, no better situation out there for him at this stage in his career. I think he really enjoyed this season and his teammates.
Thanks for saving us some money as well Ray.
I have a feeling Andersen will take the vet-min, but I'm cool with giving him the mini-MLE if that's what it takes to retain him.
Edit:
I agree, no mini-MLE for Oden. I want him, just not at that price unless we have absolutely no other options remaining.

IIRC, the Nuggets will have to pay the difference between any contract he receives now and the salary he would've made on his amnestied contract, so it doesn't make a difference whether we sign him for the minimum or the reduced MLE since his salary for this year would've been 4,8 million. If I was his agent, I would advise him to sign a one year minimum deal, play a full 82 game season with increased minutes, win another championship and then look for one final good paycheck since his contract with the Nuggets would've expired in 2014 anyways.
EDIT: Good to have Ray back, the dude is a strict professional and an important asset.

Re: Ray Allen back (still on discount)
great news.
he has to keep himself in shape for playoffs.great series vs bucks, then he regressed vs bulls and early pacers series ( showed up late in series tho).
Vs spurs, no comment.Thats greatest shot ever he pulled in game 6.
