Much appreciation to MM. An unconscious game 5 in 2012 that won us a championship and is one of the greatest performances by a Heater ever. And his shoeless game 6 shot was the trigger for the run, imo. The tax is a real bitch. But hopefully this allows some adjustments through the season.

Just said this on @TheTicketMiami: from what I am hearing from multiple sources, the Heat are likely to amnesty Mike Miller today.

I don't usually report anything with a hedge, but I've heard it wouldn't happen until later today. All signs pointing that way.

Welp. I'd hate to see it happen. I'd get rid of Joel first (by far), but it ain't my money.

Sad to see him go. Someone will probably pick him up. Just hope he doesn't end up on one of our rivals.

I don't get why everyone wants to amnesty Joel though. We need all the bigs we can have.

Is Rashard Lewis going to be on the team next year then? With Mike gone, he'd be perilously close to actually playing.

So we keep joel anthony and amnesty miller? Makes sense.

MIller would be perfect for the bulls or nets or knicks or pacers. **** **** ****!!!!! :x :x :x :x :x :x :x

and we are going to be paying him to play for a rival lmao. I really hope this doesn't come to bite us in the ass next june.

Please go to memphis, stay out of the east.

Also, this saves miami 40mil in tax over next 2 seasons. Riley wanted him, micky wanted to save money.

Serious? When was the last time Joel even played a meaningful minute? Oh yea, that's right, not in the past 2 seasons. Remember, they tried to use Joel as a "big" against Indy when **** wasn't working, and he was terrible.

He's going to get picked up by one of our rivals.

Arisons decision. Obviously not a basketball decision.

Thank you for everything Miller, without you, we probably don't win #2 and #3.

I hope we find someone to replace his production.

Good God, Miller on Indiana or Chicago against us in the playoffs.

Please, let it be some sorry ass team that puts in a claim. No clearing waivers.

Arison saves a ton of money, and our team loses a valuable piece. They better use the mini mle now.

You're assuming he clears waivers. I could see a team like Cleveland or Dallas putting in a bid on him. Sucks to see Miller get amnestied as he was a key player for your team, but as mentioned the tax is a "female dog" and with Miller making more than Anthony, Arison decided it had to be done.

We cleared some cap room in the short term, but there has to be a long-term gain to be had. Maybe we are looking to extend an offer to Oden? Maybe this helps with the cap space when we try and keep 1-3-6 together. I dunno man, but he's a big part of the reason that we won 2 championships. I wish MM all the best. He has the heart of a champion.
