Every one has had their impacts. It's usually a team thing, mostly every one has had their fair share.

Chalmers: Game 4 NBA Finals 2012
Miller: Game 5 NBA Finals 2012
Andersen: Energy...I mean, ENERGY.
Allen: Clutches
Battier: defense and Game 7 NBA Finals 2013

I always say that we are unstoppable on top of unstoppable when Battier hits 3s at his normal clip.

Battier's impact is vastly underrated. More high school ballers should look at his fundamentally sound game in terms of making the right play on both ends of the floor. It never gets noticed, but is an underrated part of our team working. Aside of that, if there's anybody on our team that embodies no-excuses, it's Shane.

All of 'em. I appreciate these guys, Wow. This may be the final ride of this complete group together, so i will be forever grateful, i expect them to give their best shot next year for a place in HISTORY, also i expect the Big 3 to renew their contracts, and also a younger team moving next year. SWEET

This pretty much sums up how I feel about his contributions to the team, and his impact as a role player.

Battier and all of our role players do the little things and it is a culture because Lebron, Wade and Bosh do the same. What our guys do is either save or get possessions. Miller for instance is a very good rebounder and Joel plays great pick and roll defense. Chalmers in game six deflected pass after pass. Haslem's pick and pops were great in 2 games against Pacers. What I like most about Battier is the position defense. The play in game 7 that Lebron stole Manu's pass was a great defensive play by Bosh positioning his length and Battier in the corner cutting off the baseline pass that had been killing us. Although Cole and Anthony did not play they are good also at playing their role. I think 30Ennis and Vanardo can step in and do the same this year!

Battier

2nd best perimeter defender taller than 6'4 in the HEATLES

He's exactly what we needed in the Mavs series. More length. wait wut

Check out the Top 20 3 point snipers last season, and tell me one defender his height whos better defensively than the ULTIMATE ROLE PLAYA (only other I can think of in the list is Thabo, but I've never seen him defend 4's)

Battier. Both ends of the floor. And in the locker room he gave the speech which put us on our 27 game win streak. Plus Battioke. Battier is arguably one of the greatest role players of all-time. He's kind of amazing. I hope he can keep it going for another 2 or 3 titles.

I pick Battier because he can impact both offensively and defensively. Battier is clutch too. Also at times he would give PF's trouble when he was on fire from 3, but most of the time he got eaten by other PF's, but he never complained. Also our most versatile guy, just can't guard the C position. When he is hitting his 3's, forget about it, we win lol.

Mario is definitely up there, but he takes more than he gives. All of our role players are inconsistent though. But it feels like we win a lot of games too when Mario is playing well.

We are definitely unbeatable when Mario is attacking though and hitting 3's... but it's been awhile Mario even did anything defensively. This dude use to steal a lot, I don't remember the last time he got a good steal... or any steal for that matter lol.

Shane Battier. If Miami had him in 2011, their chances of winning the championship are at worst slightly higher.

This is just one example, but Shane at times has just had game changing defensive plays man.

I also pick battier because he's done it consistently. All the other players mentioned come up big in 1 or 2 games in the playoffs.

Battier is in that Dennis Johnson/Horace Grant/Michael Cooper/Bill Laimbeer/Robert Horry/Derek Fisher class of elite hall of fame role players in my opinion. He's one of those guys that if you had to choose any role player to fill out a team in NBA history he'll be on the short list of selections.
