You guys probably remember the wiretap article:

Spoelstra spent time studying the techniques of football coaches Chip Kelly and Pete Carroll.

Spoelstra studied previously how Kelly's spread offense could be applied to basketball.

I think the above has to do with utilizing our talent better especially with Bosh in mind. So I was wondering what do you think of the Bosh situation?

He is not getting many touches inside, granted that´s not what his game is all about, but even in Toronto he would mix it up. He isn´t getting a lot of plays called from his sweet spot the left block/elbow it happens to also be where the King sets up shop. (Also why he does much better on the court with Bron resting if I am not mistaken?) He is pretty much a safety valve on offense most of the time.

His defense and elite jump shooting goes a long way, but I think we have to use him better this season. The question is can we? With the (hopefully) resurgence of Wade and LeBron it´s going to be hard to justify taking shots away from better scorers to facilitate Bosh. At this point I´m sure Bosh want´s to showcase his talent too and show he is a part of the big 3 not 2 and a half men.

As things currently stand, his role will be the same as last year: safety valve. He'll get his few high-post touches and isos, but he'll mostly be relied upon to open the lane for LeWade. Until Wade really takes a step back, that'll have to be Bosh's main offensive contribution.

I think they will start to use him more and more this year to keep the load off of Wade/LeBron for a playoff run. Besides that I think they know that each game getting him going early is key, it opens so much up for the rest of the team to attack the paint. Him and Beasley out there at the same time could be good too if Beasley can hit his jumper, the more shooters the better.

Heat need to get him more involved this year, tbh. When he's not engaged, the dude completely disappears and that's just not good because he's our best big by a wide margin.

I agree with you guys. I'd hoped and believed it would happen prior to this past season, but was wrong. The way he played in the preseason gave me early excitement and hope. Instead he became even more of a spot-up shooter.

I'd like for him to become way more of a force on defense. In the Finals you saw him coming off his man for blocks and such, and not in stupid manner that left his dude open for an easy shot. I think if he can do more of that, that'll be huge. I know its asking a lot, but becoming more KG on defense is what Miami really needs out of him, and maybe a turn around jump shot.

Until Wade becomes a more reliable shooter, it is what it is. Bosh is awesome, yet doesn't have a big ego. We'll use him the way we do until Wade declines to the point where Bosh has to be the #2. I'm fine with that. I'd like for us to get all 3 rolling together more, but that's probably a tall order for Tall Justice.

Yup, what is promising though is that he has become a much better rim protector by each season, he is long and athletic so the more he improves on defense the better.

Huge Bosh fan but.... cat goes missing on O so often. The defensive consistency is always there though. Definitely like to see more from him.
