Can Bosh get more involved in the offense?

God forbid maybe even more shots?

Ill fall on the sword and be that guy, but really is there any way to petition for Bosh to get more shots and not be ignored for quarters at a time? I'd like to pretend we have influence over such things

Seriously though, this training of Bosh into being a compliant, subservient role playing jump shooter is ok for the moment since Wade and Lebron are still athletic enough to take advantage of his spacing, but i fear it's not going to work out well as time passes. He was a beast in Toronto who'd go toe-to-toe with Dwight Howard trading 40-15 games and now it's a luxury to have him get 10 shots a game, 8 of which are 18ft-and-out, and 7+ rebounds. Because he's used so sporadically and as a decoy he doesn't get the benefit of calls much anymore and seems to have lost his confidence and ability to play inside. What happened to this guy:

It's just frustrating to see his progression and use here. I remember at the time some people were gossiping that he was taking steroids his final year so If that's the case get him some roids and move out of the way!

Thing is with Bosh (and I have been noticing this since last season) is that he needs to get himself into the game. Every 1st quarter, the Heat offense always revolves around getting Bosh involved; I wouldn't be surprised if he attempted more shots than LeBron/Wade in every 1st quarter this season. If he is hitting his jumper, the Heat will follow through with Bosh for the rest of the game, just not as much as we do in the first. If his jumper is off, then Bosh barely gets the ball after the 1st half.

What's funny is he came into preseason beasting, saying he wants more of a roll on offense.

I think he was in foul trouble last night because he barely played against the Nets it seems. He didn't have much shot attempts in the 2nd half either. He had 11 at half time, then ended with... 17. Just 8 shot attempts IN ALL.

He is still the forgotten man it seems. Heat would rather shoot 3's than give it to Bosh. If not, make Bosh shoot 3's. That's what I'm seeing so far. He needs to attack other bigs but he has trouble doing that and just loses the ball

The offense as a whole seems disoriented and scoring in huge spurts. Surprised the last few games we still have been getting 100 points. Defense has been sucking too though.

no, which makes my bravery that much more impressive :)

I agree ive also noticed the "Get Bosh involved early" strategy, but maybe they could extend that to get him involved more in general instead of using the 1st Q as a gauge to see if his shot is on that day. Even when his shot is on it seems they still move away from him. Against Philly with Wade out, he still had only 13 attempts despite scoring 8 of them.

If Bosh were to get back into the paint and score he's gonna have to get more touches there and adjust since he's been evolving into that jump shooting decoy role. Problem is he'll have nobody with him to rebound since everyone is spacing and the team is designed to be a perimeter threat, but even then he should be getting more perimeter shots.

Yes he can get more shots, but they need to allow him to hit the blocks. Only problem is that it would counteract with the move the ball quickly emphasis they have right now. As it stands, his shots are coming from literally everywhere on the court and that's needed to keep the defense honest. The minute he actually goes inside-outside is when he's going to be light's out.
