"Is Miami A Real NBA City?!"

My two cents: No, it is not! Why? Miami being a transient city, tons of Knick fans, Raptor fans etc, the fact that a 3 time championship team ALWAYS has empty seats(lots of them) and whether winning or losing, you will see lots of people heading for the exits Towards the end of the fourth. (ie with more than 2 mins)
But I am a big fan of Lebron, Wade and the City!

No.. It's not. I mean we do have hardcore nba fans, but mostly football specially with the U and dolphins. Nothing wrong with that tho.

It's hardly a football town these days. A decade ago cause of the Hurricanes but the Dolphins have brought nothing but shame and embarrassment to this city. We have one of the faltering football fanbases in the nation and Miami Heat's fanbase keeps growing. All the football towns in Florida are in central florida and up. Most good to great high school football players in Miami are asked and forced to transfer to another school up North if they want to be recruited by Florida/FSU/Miami/UCF/USF.

It's close to impossible to keep the people in the stands in a big city like Miami on blowouts, especially with so much to do in this cities. I can understand if this was a place like Oklahoma, where their options are limited.

Also, Miami really asked for it when it comes to getting the reputation of the city with the fan that leaves early, red and orange seats tend to stand out a whole lot more than black ones. Most stadiums with the color seat Miami has would look about the same as they do in Miami..

This city loves it's basketball and it has for the past 25+ years. We have always had one of the better attendance in the league, even during our worse season our stadium was at over 90% on every night.

Seats now a days are extremely expensive, so while you might see the businessmen in the front who are most likely going there for the networking, the upper level is always packed from beggining to end.

It's been an NBA city since 1988 when the Heat franchise was founded.
