Pat Riley deserves a statue the size of the Statue of Liberty.

Pat, Wade, and LeBron will all get statues in Miami. For LeBron, it depends if he stays past this season which I'm confident he will

Pat and Wade seem like locks, but I don't know. Is Riley the statue type? By that, I mean, is that something he'll erect for any player while he's still working? Maybe after he retires, I can see it. Then again, I'm not sure if Micky is a statue guy either.

I do think they should rename 8th ST to Pat Riley Blvd or something, though. The one that leads right into the AAA parking, for those unfamiliar with the downtown map.

Out of all the people that have been part of our organization, Riley deserves one the most. Not even Wade, James or Zo hold a candle to what he's done for this franchise.

There.
Fixed it for you.

Seriously, though. The Heat was irrelevant before Riley took over.
Now it sits on 3 titles.
You know how many franchises have 3 titles ?

Celtics (17), Lakers (16), Bulls (6), Spurs (4), Miami, Sixers, Pistons and Warriors (3).

And the Sixers and Warriors got them before the modern era of the NBA.

Now read that list again. That's NBA royalty right there.
I don't see any recent expansion team in there.

And Lebron should get a statue even if he leaves this summer.
He's top 2 all time, he came and instantly delivered one final and 2 titles, while having some of the best seasons in the history of the game.
If Garnett gets a statue in Boston (which he probably will), Lebron deserves one in Miami.

BTW, I hope all the birds in the world will go **** on Garnett's statue.
And then on him.

They should have a raised statue of Pat Riley as a puppeteer, with Timmy, Wade, James, Bosh, and Zo as the marionettes.

We have some serious business to take care of first. And we will for years to come. Couldn't care less about statues at this point in time.

i don't think every team needs to have statues. riley will get a banner like Ron Culp and that's it.

Absolutely. Riley put together all the great Heat teams but just as importantly, he built the winning culture in Miami.

don't know if you're being sarcastic or not but they can't do that, American Airlines has the naming rights to the arena until 2019. if the heat would want to name it after pat riley they would have to pay about $2 million a year (AA's contract is 20 years/$42 million).

I cant find the picture but him standing in the locker room arms wide with the trophy in front of him outside the arena in that water slip area would be......epic.

They should turn the observation deck they want to build in downtown into a large version of pat instead of the current proposal.
