DeRozan or Asik?

Hello bros
So the raptors are blowing it up , ujiri is cleaning up the colangelo mess it seems. Derozan is on the block and i can see 10% that he lands in miami. How? Joel+Haslem.
Haslem will rescind then sign with us the same way big z did with the cavs if you remember. I think it could be a good adiction. He's atlethic, his shooting is improved and could be a good player to replace wade on his off nights.
Omer Asik will be get traded. Its official , it just doesnt work. Here is our big piece. If we get asik , its game over . We have virtually no weekness. How do we get him? This one is hard. I can see a 3way trade envolving the bucks?! Ersan would be good in texas. What we have to offer? This one is tricky..we have joel but apart from that we dont have nothing especial. Joel+Haslem and haslem resigns with us? Joel+Philly pick? Hmm this one is complicated. What you guys think of this 2 players and our chances?

cant get either.
ujiri rapes other gm's...he doesn't get raped.
also, i think they fixed the loophole where a player can just resign with their old team after traded and cut

the rockets think they're trading away Dwight... they're asking way too much for asik (if they want to get rid of him).
derozan could have a lot of potential on this team, but there are a couple reasons why it isn't a good trade. for Toronto, haslem and joel have player options for next year totaling a little over 8 million. i'm sure ujiri could find contracts that expire at the end of this year with better players too (stuckey comes to mind).
for the heat, derozan is making 9.5 million for the next three years (until the end of the 2016-2017 season). that leaves the heat with very little cap flexibility going forward, assuming they would want to keep the big 3 plus add Beasley to a longer term contract. plus rio. plus cole after next year. maybe oden too, depending how that works out.
I find it unlikely that the heat make a trade mid-season this year.

You think a team is going to take our trash to help us out? You think the Rockets are going to help a potential opponent in the Finals? We're not getting either of them.
But let's play hypothetically. If they were willing to take just joel & haslem, I'd rather have Asik. DeRozan would be useless on our squad. We have Beasley and Allen and Cole as our back ups. Battier should be a backup as well but with Haslem getting hurt and then sucking it up when he got back, it forced Spo to put Battier on the starter's block. Bringing Derozan doesn't put Battier back on the bench, it just crowds the wings. Asik would put Battier on the bench and provide the inside help and rebounding we need.

Assuming the Raptors will just give away DeRozan to help the Heat.
Assuming the Rockets are trying to get rid of Asik no matter what the cost.
And AFAIK it's not possible for a player to be bought out and return to his former team after being traded. AFAIK he must wait till the end of the season or the end of the contract that was bought out before he can sign with his old team again.

AHAHAHAHAH are you **** kidding me? That's basically their new franchise player and I doubt they will trade him at this point. I know they are tanking but they don't need to completely blow it up. They probably want him next to Wiggins or whomever they are looking to get. He has no place on this roster at his price anyway.
WE'RE NOT GETTING ASIK. EVER.
Joel and Haslem? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? They can't get us anything, let alone DeMar Derozan. Use your heads people... (though I don't mind looking like an idiot if this goes through, but I'm sure it won't).
The only VALUABLE players on the roster are the BIg 3 (obviously not trading them), Cole and Rio. Everyone else is here for ONE LAST YEAR. Unless WE are blowing it up, no one is going anywhere.
Only Joel is the player we are looking to get rid of and he is not valuable, at all. We have to trade for a player another team straight up doesn't want anymore for salary reasons. There aren't a lot of options either.

We might be able to fetch Lowry for Joel + a pick. He's better then Rio but less of a fit here. Probably not worth the trouble. And our front office won't risk it. The only move I see us making is getting Okafor is he gets healthy and bought out. Don't see anything else out there that would entice Pat to break the championship core and familiarity.

Masai is not trading DeMar for junk. DD is most likely staying. Masai is high on this kid.

You guys are being a bit harsh.
OP I wish we could get Asik, but unless we give up Bosh it's just not happening.
Derozan is also very expensive.(for us)

First off, the Rockets do not just want to get rid of Asik. Its Asik who wants to be moved. They wish Asik would stop being difficult and try to play with the team, but he being resistant to change.

Ujiri its a smart man and will not build around DD. He will be moved. If he doesnt want junk why he did guys like haws for exemple? He wants cap for 2 , 3 years and picks. About asik you are probably right

Joel probably wont be moved until next year, when he is an expiring contract. Wish Varnado wasn't Joel 2.0. I'd imagine the best the Heat could get mid season would probably something like a Zaza Pacuhila type player. Maybe throw something at Denver for Mozgov. Thats probably wishful thinking though.

Derozan has been playing really good this year honestly. Still has time and room to grow. But if this is a serious thread you might want to stick with NBA Live, or Elite maybe.

I would go as far to say that no team in the league will trade with us post-Big 3 (not counting one-sided deals like Memphis-Pittman).

The only real way to get rid of Joel for someone valuable is to put in our 1st pick and I believe we have one in this year's draft which is a good draft.
Raps wants picks. They also want someone they'll use and it seems they might want a guard. They don't need bigs like we do. Joel is completely useless for them. Only this is that he is Canadian

Unless Toronto is DESPERATE to dump whomever (and I don't think they are), it ain't happening. If anything that Raps GM is freakin' robbing people lmao. They are looking to low ball the Knicks once again. They wanted a 1st pick and Shump for Lowry. Or was a Felton and 1st? either way they wanted a pick. Mario and Cole combined are cheaper than Lowry right now so... doesn't make sense to me imo.
DeRozan is still a no. We'd have to give up Joel, UD, and 2 1st rounders for Asik probably

I don't like his liability on offense though, he will clog up the lane for our Big 3 and that's not good. That's not how we spread the floor. Too **** expensive anyway.

This is so weird because the new raps Gm is no shmuk. Yes Derozan is trade able but they will demand a lot for him and he only puts up big numbers cause he takes so many damn shots with horrible D. No better than a prime jerry stackhouse

Few teams are stupid enough to cut their nose to spite their face.
They'd deal if they THOUGHT they had something to win.
Even Dan Comic-Sans Gilbert traded Lebron to the Heat because he at least got a trade exception.
And it's a pretty safe bet that he HATED Lebron and the Heat and Riley at the time.
The thing is the Heat don't have a lot of players that the other teams covet, and those that are coveted are not on the table. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that most Heat players aren't even on the table. Most took (heavily) discounted deals to play for the Heat. It would be a very VERY bad sign to trade them away. It would undermine what Riley has built over the years, the image of family, stability, loyalty etc.
Maybe it's not too late to trade Joel to Billy King for an unprotected 1st in 2020, but other than that ...

I cannot see how either one of those options makes the Heat more competitive. Mario has an expiring contract, does he not? That 12 million coming off the books could be enticing. (I am not anti-rio - auntie rio)
